Thats awesome vdubmomma.... Good luck... PS - I have a 1973 Super Beetle in the garage.... if that is what your name means :)

Maybe the change in your body, combined with your new lifestyle will increase your weight loss... you figure, a baby with all of the fixings is probably only around 20... and you will lose 6-8 of that in just a few minutes of some light pushing :) Congrats and have fun!!

Great job Man!!

Vdub, I just go by the categories... there is a nice color guide that says during phase one you can eat a certain number of carbs, fats, etc... I use it as a rough guide. I do not eat Eggs, Dairy and try to avoid meats but I still eat chicken, turkey, fish and venison.... You can get protein suplements too.

I cured the soreness with a protein shake (Syntrax Nectar w/unsweetened almond milk) and 5g of Creatine (No loading phase, just right into maintance) and it works well... My performance increases each week but my soreness decreases. And yeah, right things down... take your before measurements and pictures too because in…

I have been telling people I only eat cup cakes.

No.. it works... The Rock did it... Before After
-
Balanced diet and exercise... Oh, wait... that one works :) How about 500 calories a day and a pill?

It will :)

Or create your own. I created my own, take notes for each entry if needed and I just record the calories burned from that session. After you add it to your database you can just select it... like this morning I selected Plyos and burned 800 calories.... the calories can be changed each time you add.

It is awesome. The guy has a personality that makes you want to do the workout to the top of your potential. I am in week three, and finding myself sad that the exercises I have been doing for the past three weeks will be ending. I started not being able to do any pull up's and I can do three quarters of one now :) Feel…

I hunt, and there is nothing more organic than game from the Maine woods. But I have sworn off Dairy for the health reasons.
-
I eat a Thomas Multi-Grain English Muffin.... 25g Carbs but 8g from fiber and 1g from sugar and only 100 calories. And I use Sunbutter with 7g todal, 4g fiber and 3g sugar.

Hey, maybe it is the HARDEST to lose... but consider how much easier ALL of the other components of health, diet and fitness are now!
-
I have not stopped, but I am "trying" to limit myself to chicken and fish.... Why? Well.... Partially because of the movie "Fork over knife"
-
Thats interesting... so your saying to wear it from the time I get up, to the time I go to bed on a typical day? I like that idea. Then, if I want to lose 1-2 pounds a week I would simply subtract 1000 calories from it so I get a "safe" deficit?

Thanks Man... I am not sure what to do or where I want to go. I know that I used BMI as my guide for a goal (Gave me 75 pounds) but if I were only 175 I would feel and look silly. Besides, it is hard to throw a 56 pound weight on a chain at 175, but it is hard to do so when you are slow and have too much body fat so I…

Nor would I want it too, but I am taking this weight loss and exercise program seriously and with a long term goal of an obtainable AND retainable goal so I do not want to over do it. Thanks!
-
Is that true in all cases? I am doing P90X, losing inches where I dont want it, and adding where I do... eating about 2000 calories of lean protein, multi grain carbs and no dairy but I have lost a total of about 10 pounds in two weeks.

We have a local farm with yogurt made from stevia... I am "off the dairy" now, but I have had it in the past and it was good.

I worked a very busy 24 on 9/11 and fortunately the second half was calm so I could enjoy the ceremonies on the TV with my brothers and sisters at the station. People like that guy are just haters... and like they say... haters are gonna hate. He probably doesnt even believe half of what he spews, and does it for dramatic…

Thats awesome! Keep up the good work.

I try to eat enough to be satisfied... not full, but not starving. I could not do it without exercise... I also could not exercise (P90X) without the calories. I *THINK* MFP takes your current weight and age, you weight loss goals (Mine is 2 pounds per week) and your life style and assigns you a calorie plan based on a…

Hey Vikki, thanks for adding me! I am not a woman but I have a wife and two teenage daughters so I understand your plight to some extent. I love MFP and use it on my mobile device as well as the PC to track what I eat and what I burn. If you combine this with reasonable goals it will have great success! Plus, I have seen…

When I filled out my sheet today I got a little sad knowing I would not do this workout until week 7... I am looking forward to the recovery week... not because I need the break, but because I want to beat YOGA-X... it has kicked my butt everytime so far so I am looking forward to beating it!!
-
I am having success because of the mobile app... every little bite I take throughout the day gets recorded.
-
You dont consider belly dancing exercise? I am asking a serious question, I really do not know if it is or not....
-
I love P90X and MFP makes the eating plan easy to manage! I am done with week 2 and cannot wait to weigh in at work Monday!!

I suggest wrapping it up in meat :) 'cause meat taste good, therefor the TOFU would taste good!
