I started out saying, "I want to eat today like I will for the rest of my life." That, for me, meant being able to eat all of the foods I enjoy, and learn to like new ones. Eliminating a food group was not a practical option. As has been said over and over on this thread, moderation is a must, and staying physically active…

The first time I went through that program, it took me 9 months instead of 9 weeks. But I did it! I didn't care how long it took, I just wanted to conquer it because I have always hated running. I am currently going through it again, but I have not had to repeat any weeks. I'm going to run a 5k in November as well! All I…

This may not help you, but I have the same type of HRM as you. When I first started using it, I was surprised at how few calories I was burning with high intensity work outs. Then my doctor took me off the beta blocker I was taking for my high blood pressure. Voila==calories burned went way up. The beta blocker med was…

Hi. I've been losing consistently for the last 8+ months. I haven't really cut out much, I just eat less of everything. Trying to eat balanced meals. But i do have a sweet tooth. I just don't binge anymore, and dont eat quite as many fried foods. My doc told me to workout more days of the week than not, so that means at…

Yep. That's the plan!!

Anything I want, just less of it than I used to!!

I am just watching calories in vs calories expended. I don't think you need to focus too much on the specifics at first, because when you cut back, everything gets cut back. Unless of course, you are diabetic, or your doctor has told you otherwise. And by all means, get plenty of WATER!

No, I'm not a fitness instructor. Just wanted to add a little variety to my workouts. Needing a little boost to get through a plateau.

That's great. You're a pretty girl, stay with it!

I updated my C25K a while back and it changed the name to Ease into 5K, so the run times are slightly different, but I honestly think they are better. I finally made it to week 3. I was on week 1 for months. That is how badly out of shape I was in! Week 2 I think I spent a week or two on, then I have finished week 3 today.…

i had blood work done right before I started dieting, and am planning on having it done at the 6 month mark, which is actually next week, so it will check thyroid amongst other things. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue. I mean, come on, everybody is thinking it's thyroid. Couldn't it just be some vitamin…

I had my thyroid checked less than a year ago, and it was normal.

I have tried out several brands to be sure this was really real, and it's a 36 D every time. I'm just baffled! LOL.

I have had this since the summer. It's slowly going away as I lose weight and walk for exercise. A couple of things that my doctor told me to do that has helped has been to sit down and roll a tennis ball around using the bottom of your foot or a frozen bottle of water underfoot. It helps to relieve some of the pain for a…

Currently I weigh 231, I'm 5'11", and wear 18/20 on bottom, 16/18 on top. I am a pear shape with a big butt! Haha. I always fill out my pants. But I guess I'd rather have a round butt than a flat one! Lol.
