mini cooper convertible - cream, black bonnet stripes and black hood.....love, love, love!

I walk - A LOT!! - and for the last 6 years have sworn by Merrell. I buy the same shoe each time - siren sport GTX. It fits like a glove, doesn't need broken in and no blisters or hot spots ever.

Thank you! It took 8 days in total (6.5 up and 1.5 down). Totally amazing experience but definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done. The final night ascent was the worst night of my life. Left camp around midnight to attempt the summit (which we reached just after sunrise) - my three least favourite things in the…

Thank you! I suffered from altitude sickness too - the nausea was horrific. On my final night (summit attempt) I was vomiting and hypothermic - not good. Yes, it is amazing how much better you feel breathing as you descend. I did the Lemosho route (8 days). It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it is an amazing…

I'm 80 sticks of butter too! I love doing things like that - I sometimes think of the weight I've lost in kilo bags of sugar, or shopping bags or something so that I can think "Why was I carrying that around??"

<Indie (short for Indiana), he's a golden retriever and will be 6 years old in a couple of weeks

Lean cuisine - 9 - you have porcelain perfect skin! :o)

I think you can too :o)

I take a combined supplement of evening primrose oil and starflower oil and I swear it has changed my life. The capsules I buy are one-a-day but you actually need to take two per day to get the serum levels in your blood. No cravings, no sore boobs, no mood swings and sometimes my TOM comes as a complete surprise. It's not…

It's not that you can't be, you just won't be. Why would you want to?!?! Take pleasure and draw strength from the fact that he came crawling back to you. But face it honey, he had his chance and he blew it. Never mind about the 5 lbs you regained - better than regaining that lump of crap back. Don't beat yourself up - if…

The one that sticks, and makes me cringe every time, was a long time ago. I was quite heavy then but this comment made me realise that I was in denial. I had met an old school friend's mum in town and she said to me I was looking 'swell' as she looked at my stomach. It was really sweet in a sense as she clearly thought I…

Yup, it's really me...and my dog Indie :o)

I have two - one small one on my lower trunk, just above my pubic line (left side) and another on my lower back (which is quite big). I do have quite a high pain threshold, but the small one really didn't hurt, I felt the needle 'drag' as such, but I wouldn't say it hurt. It's a butterfly so it's quite colourful, which…

You don't have him to lose 'again'. Best thing to do is walk away, hard as that will be. (Been there, done it) Aaaaah, they never seem to be 'very compatico' with their spouse...yet, they always stay...so it can't be that bad. I don't doubt that he wants you, but probably not for the same things you want. Sorry.

yes...but it's important to log everything for a significant time before that day comes. By logging everything, you learn a lot about your choices and you educate yourself to modify your lifestyle and choices. Once you've cracked that then counting doesn't seem as important as you know that you're automatically eating…

king prawn or tandoori chicken tikka type thing - a dry dish as such, with any sauce on the side so you can control it. Oh, and no fried rice, poppadoms or prawn crackers!

Don't have IUD, but did have TOTM cravings, mood swings, lethargy, bloating etc... I take Evening Primrose Oil and Starflower Oil combo - I get them from Tesco, combined high strength capsule in a bright yellow tub. They are one a day but I take two a day, as that gives you the optimal serum level of each in your blood.…

Once a week, first thing in the morning after a pee, butt naked and before breakfast! If I know I'm eating badly and not exercising well I'll do it more frequently to give myself a kick up the *kitten*! But most of the time, it's once a week.

I buy it as Linseed (Flaxseed) meal and mix it into pretty much everything. I really rate it - skin glows, hair shines, no bloat. My mum swears it got her through the menopause in terms of hormonal balance. Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure, but it works for me.
-
Completely sympathise! Some days, after I"ve done my exercise, I am back to having 1200 calories (or more) to eat for my evening meal and I just can't do it. I cut back on exercise, and I didn't put weight on. The other way is that it sometimes allows you a treat you maybe otherwise wouldn't have. I enjoy a glass of wine…

Hmmmm, i've been really tempted by these recently....just to give me a kick start....did a pile of research into them and whilst I'm still sorely tempted at times, the evidence for me is lacking and I think on the whole it's a nah from me.

You look brilliant! And hot!
-
Yes, I count everything. At first I did this to really see exactly what I was consuming. Now, whilst I know that fruit & veg etc is minimal, I still count it; this is because I am amazed to see how much I can eat and for so few calories - I kinda get a kick out of that.
-
But won't reversing meals still have you consuming the same calories...? You will still, at the end of the day, have overeaten in terms of cumulative calories? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding your plan! How about if you do a bit extra exercise to allow for the larger intake at dinner?

Water is AMAZING - and I am lucky enough to live somewhere that the tap water is delicious! I have given up tea and coffee for Lent, and drink extra water to substitute and I feel brilliant for it. I don't drink fizzy drinks or anything, as they just don't do it for me. Water is definitely the way to go... :o)
-
You look GREAT!!! And red is definitely your colour. Well done :o)
-
You need to give your brain time to figure out that you're full - then it can tell that devil to shut up!! Best thing I've found, is to have a BIG glass of water and do something to distract yourself for about 20 mins. If that doesn't shake it, then I'll have another drink but a tasty one, maybe a low cal hot choc or…
-
I sometimes take a day off - but usually because I really need to do something else e.g. housework or gardening or something so at least I'm still 'active' in a sense... I think do what feels right for you, and what works for you.

FANTASTIC post!!!!!!

yeah, add me :o)
