I'm beginning to think the boards aren't a place for me. There have been several posts full of great information, but that is getting overshadowed by the snarky and rude comments. Being a morbidly obese woman dieting is hard but I am determined and when I ask for advice I'm looking for positivity and constructive criticism…

I have the Berry Veggie juice but I only drink half of one with my lunch every day. When you half it, it is only 17 grams of sugar.

I originally lost 20 lbs in about 2.5 weeks. Then weight loss stalled. That's why I was asking the question about "starvation mode". When I mentioned the stall to my husband he told me I wasn't eating enough calories and my body was going into starvation mode. So I googled it and what I read was that it was a myth. So I…

Amen to that.

There is no way I'm having a 2000 calorie per day error.
-
I only eat once every other week.
-
I typically do the same exercises each day but on Saturdays I increase weight and time. For example I started out doing lat pulldowns at 70 lbs each week and now I'm up to 90.

Thank you!

I really appreciate all of the advice that has been given, I have lost 20 lbs since 1/5 so obviously I must be doing something right, even without owning a food scale. I completely agree that I haven't given myself enough time before getting concerned and will keep doing what I'm doing, minus a cheat meal (which isn't…

The only things I may be off about are the ounces in the chicken (by 1 or 2 oz) and the amount of broccoli I eat (it could be slightly more than a cup). Everything else I use a measuring cup or measuring spoon for.

I'm sorry I haven't gotten one but there is NO WAY I'm having an error of more than 500 calories. If you want to attack me about a food scale then please go somewhere else.
-
No, we've been meaning to get one.

It's a going to the mexican restaurant and eating chips and cheese and fried things, this last time it was also 2 drinks. Looks like it's time to cut out the cheat meal.

I don't log exercise because I don't want to be tempted to eat back the calories. I honestly have no idea how many calories I'm burning while exercising.
-
Exercising: You could be right on that part. Prior to me starting this diet on 1/5 I literally did nothing. I was definitely heading in the "My 600 lb life" direction. I now work out 3 days a week and go up on weights and extend time on the elliptical each Saturday morning. I am now up to 16 minutes on the elliptical and…

I'm not having a problem really on the food front. I actually honestly feel like I'm eating all the time, just eating things that are better for me. As for giving up...no way! I'm too determined to get healthy to give up.
-
The only thing I don't log is the cheat meal, which is every other Saturday night. I figure I've went over my calories for the day so it doesn't matter. Everything else is on point. I'm also drinking 1-1.5 gallons of water per day. As for not moving, one morning I'll lose a pound the next I'll gain, so overall it is…

I'm at around 330 now (I think...scale-less dieting) now and eating around 1750 per day, I started at 350 about a month ago. The best advice I can give you is: -Stop looking at numbers, measure your success by progress. Inches, endurance, etc. -Unless you already like diet drinks...don't drink them. Gradually wean yourself…

Let me start off by saying I'm not running, lol. Mostly doing the stationary bike...I love it! I feel great and my endurance is getting crazy amazing.

I know right?? I'm feeling confident after reading this!

I know! That has been the hardest part about dieting, making myself eat breakfast and not just gorging the rest of the day on fast food. For a while I kept thinking I'd just eat a granola bar and coffee but starting this morning I made time to make myself a bowl of oatmeal and added a tbsp of pb in it and a tsp of sugar.…

I walk once or twice a week for 15-20 minutes. But I usually don't add it on here.
-
I opened my diary up so if someone could maybe help critique it?? Tell me how I could improve?
-
Thanks so much everyone! After yesterday I was ready to just give up, but after hearing from you I have a renewed faith in the system!
-
Exactly what I think originally happened. I was doing very well then I saw a low number and started eating less. Now I've upped the calories. So hopefully it will help.
-
Thank you all. I was feeling super depressed after I saw that. All I could think was 4 weeks worth of work is gone. I am severely type A so it is extremely hard for me to not worry about a number but I will try. Hopefully the scale I ordered will be here within the next day or two so I can be more consistant.

No I have one scale I usually go to. But when I went to the dr they weighed me and I got excited and recorded that weight. Usually I weigh at a particular scale at a gym on my lunch break on Wednesdays.
