You should really go read the New Member posts. They are on the message boards. They are marked for new members to read. They explain a lot about how this works, how everything is set up and why it's done that way. They are good reads.

Yikes - that's one big ol' can of worms! I say if it's fruit or natural your fine. Processed sugars is where you run into issues. But, I'm not a doc Peoples opinions on this vary - wildly! Good luck! Steph

Ask one of the guys who looks like they know what they are doing if he minds showing you the ropes a little. Never hurts to ask. They were new at one point too!

Seriously? It's a fish. Flush it and replace it. LOL

What you need to remember is this is not a DIET - this is a website to help you track your calories, journal your food and exercise. I use the website to help me make healthy choices. I don't want to see my journal full of processed food or high fat food. That just leads to more unhealthy behavior. But that's just me. Oh,…

Great post! I really have given up with the scale numbers now that I am this close to my goal and that I am just working on toning and not really losing any more. I understand that water and muscle are going to play a lot bigger role for me when I jump on the scale! I really wish now, that I would have had my body fat…

Or poached in white wine.

I had a salmon burger last night that was pretty tasty. Or salmon pan seared with picatta sauce over some brown rice with some wilted spinach. Yummm!

The protien is set pretty low on MFP. I go over all the time, and as long as you are in good heatlh it shouldn't be an issue. There are a lot of threads on this topic if you do a search. People vary on what they believe is right. I don't worry about my sugars as long as I know that they are coming from fruit. I don't…

Just a heads up - you need to watch your drinking and sodium a day or so before weigh in! I usually cut back on sodium for the weekend (Monday is my weigh in days) Jillian Michaels DVD's will kick your butt. You can get them at Wallmart, I think Target, amazon.com 30 Day Shred (2-3 lb hand weights) No More Trouble Zones…

You evil evil woman! LOL I'll have to give it a try!

I would do turkey burger or brat Make some homemade oil/vinegar coleslaw and lots of fresh veggies - skip the dip Enjoy with a beer.

Totally agree with ashlee. I usually have my sugar "requirement" met at breakfast. Nothing wrong with fruit! (You're going to hear different from other people! There are others out there that have different opinions) I have to enjoy fruit while I can afford it. Winter in Wisconsin isn't a great time to buy fruit.

It's a bumpy ride sista - hold on tight! (you haven't fallen off if you're still here)

The way I feel after I'm done. I feel like I have made an acomplishment! I feel so much more alive. More energy. Frozen yogurt...

WIll Power Exercise If you exercise you can still eat the guilty pleasures - you just have to make room for it. Don't deprive yourself of the things you love. But you also have to use your will power to stop putting all the crap food in your mouth too! You have to have balance. Good luck to you. Steph:flowerforyou:

It's a good place to be. Just remember that you will only get out of it what you put into it. Be honest and bust your bootie and you'll do great! Welcome!
-
And don't forget EXERCISE - woohoo! You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel after a work out! Jillian Michales DVD's - cheap - Walmart or amazon.com - $10 each. 2-3 lb hand weights, and mat. You're good to go! They are awesome! This site is a great tool - but you have to use the tool, like you said! Steph

Oh, how Entemans talk - I have their bakery behind my house.....now that's tough! And the outlet store less than a block away!
-
Ok - that sounds horid. Do you stay on that for good? Is it for heath reasons? Yikes! Guess I like real food too much..... Good luck with that!
-
No - you should be eating NO LESS that 1200 a day. 1000 a day is not healthy. You will go into starvaion mode and your body will hold onto the fat instead of losing it.

Yep, it's new and I love it! The recipe loader thingy - forgot to quote. ha
