  • I agree. I feel like MFP lowballs calories burned for many activities. According to every other calorie calculator on the net and other apps I use, the calories burned for BRISK, LONG walks (1.5 - 2 hours) / 11,000ish steps is almost 600 calories for my weight and height. But MFP gives me 122 calories. 122 calories for a…
  • @jojo19812018 Its hard for you to notice it yourself because you look at yourself in the mirror every day. About a decade ago I lost 80 pounds and I still felt like I was fat. Weightloss is tough, it messes with the head and even gives us like a low key body dysmorphia during the whole process. Try to remember that even if…
  • I hear you sister. I lost 85 pounds in a year, and I had lots of flab and skin issues. It made me wish I knew then what I know now. Ive gained a lot of it back, and am losing it again, so this time I am covering all my bases. Squats. Plie squats. Side leg lifts. Work on skin nutrition to help it heal and tighten. Drink a…
  • I was in the same boat, same weight and goal weight. Looked flabbier after weight loss. I was working out like a maniac with strength training, I really don't think muscles are the problem. I was super tones with flab over it. In my research I found out that what you eat during your weight-loss will affect your skin. Those…
  • I wasn't sure about it either. I feel like I should be eating a decent amount of fruit in the day. I love to juice, so my sugar intake from fruit will be high. I dont feel like it should count, but I dont feel like it shouldnt count. The only sugar I get is from fruit, really, unless I ate something outside of my home. I…
  • Oh, and definately dont try to please your Mom! Some people have a fat stigma, or a screwed up perception of what is big and what isnt. I know its tempting to just do something to get people off your back, but they could just have a weird view of peoples bodies.
  • You dont sound fat! Dont go by all those BMI calculators, and all the weights "they" say you are going to be. Go by how you feel you look and be honest. Dont compare yourself to other peoples clothing or sizes. Im 5'2''. So Im shorter than you. My goal weight is 155-160, and that would be good for me. The man says that is…
  • I cant be in charage of anything. Thats why it took me like 6 months to lose 11 pounds. LOL. But Im good with ideas! This is something that we'd all have to do together.... If you have before and after pictures, or videos, try to mush them into a short clip about your success thanks to MFP's tools and community support…
  • We could always just make a plan, lay it all out, make a flash presentation, videos of our success and love for my fitness pal, and SUGGEST that MFP set up a cruise event that would be great for its users, as well be great for publicity. Maybe they could get backing from the health communities and make it like an…
  • I don't think you are burning calories, as much as you are shedding water. The thing with the saunas is you'll sweat off water weight, but after you are out and adjusting normally to the regular temperature again, the weight just comes back.
  • Im not big on crystal light either. I think it taste lousy. I found this somewhere too. "Crystal light could count towards water, but the sugar substitutes create a diuretic effect which causes you to lose some of the water". So if you have a cup of crystal light or something with artificial sweetener your body is not…
  • I read not too long ago, that many drinks you drink count as water. They said coffee was a water for example. A cup of black coffee is a cup of water with coffee grounds in it when you think about it. But crystal light would count as a water! It is just flavored water. Seltzer counts as water too. I take stuff like that…
