  • Me too! I am going on a cruise the 3rd week of February, so my first goal for the new year is to focus on eating healthy and exercising consistently for the next 6 weeks. I'm thinking 6 weeks are good chunks of time to get some results. I'll have to set a new thing to look forward to 6 weeks after that…
  • I'm going on a cruise in 6 weeks. I'd like to be less bloated and have energy for all of the activities!
  • How often are you working out? What is your calorie goal?
  • YES! I have a 200 day countdown until my cruise and was wondering what's feasible. Thank you - I know what I can aim fot

  • Granted, but your superior sense of smell amplifies that scent for you 10X. I wish I had the motivation to follow through on my dreams and hobbies.
  • Hi! I'm 5'7, currently 230 and my goal is 170. (Ultimate goal of 150, but that's mostly to show off hehe). I'm going on a cruise in Feb to the Bahamas so i will be able to reach my goal of 170 if I lose 2 lbs a week. I need definite motivation! Anyone, feel free to add me.
  • Is it possible that you aren't tracking accurately? Are you measuring and weighing ALL your food? Factoring in any added oils, milk or sugar for your coffee, any taste-testing, etc?
  • I did try spinning a couple of times and hated it, which is why I stayed away from bikes for a long time. My feet are strapped down. Do you think speed is more effective for weight loss then resistance?
  • Hmm - I also work 10-11 hours a day, though I have a desk job and sit all day. (for what it's worth, i'm also the same height and weight as you.) I work out almost every day of the week. On weekday mornings, I wake up at 5am and I walk for 40-60 minutes each day before work (during the winter I am in a gym, but when its…
  • I think the current statistic out there is that proper nutrition accounts for 85% of your diet. I have lost weight with exercise - but I was eating "clean foods". A couple of years ago, I was exercising for 60 minutes a day (walking on a treadmill with incline). I was doing this for about 2 years - during some of that time…

  • Not being attracted to overweight people is a preference. If you aren't attracted, you aren't attracted. I think the difference is when you refuse to date someone that you might otherwise date BECAUSE they are overweight is shallow.
  • I approach nutrition through the idea of "eating clean", which means that you are eating foods every couple of hours that are natural and healthy vs. processed, fried, etc. (this article explains it in more detail: http://eatingcleanworks.com/what-is-eating-clean.html). This is the general idea behind the general diet that…
  • I have always been a breakfast eater. I do believe that eating breakfast is a good idea. With that being said, what I have always had a hard time buying into is the idea that breakfast needs to be a huge production. Nutritionists, doctors, and various things I have read online always suggest that you have some protein,…
