I have a slight allergy to wheat, oats, and dairy, so I follow Paleo because it is easy to find great recipes. I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I do paleo, not by choice, but because I'm allergic to wheat, oats, and dairy, and paleo is the easiest way to research ideas. I like to eat mixed nuts for snack, they are high in calories, but full of protein and healthy fat. Also cucumbers and tuna salad is an awesome snack, really cucumbers and anything on them is…

Hey there! I am looking for inspiration and promise to be inspirational... I'm restarting again today and tired of falling off the band wagon. It's been almost 9 years since I originally lost all my baby weight and got healthy. Since then I have battled the same 20 pounds over and over again...

This will vary on how much you plan to loose per week. If you are set to loose one pound per week and if you figure that 3500 calories is equal to a pound, then going over every day by 100 calories would mean that it would take you a little more than an extra day to loose one pound. You can go over as much as you want it…

I am not currently doing this, however I am interested in it...

to make a degrees symbol hold down the alt key and press in order 2 4 8 like this 34°

One statement... Garbage in garbage out. What you are putting into your body, the type of calories does matter.

I had that after I gave birth to my daughter at 238 pounds. The 'apron' can go away, but gravity will continue to work against you. I have a belly, but it is getting flatter and it doesn't hang down anymore. The good news is that the more you work out the less it will be there. 22 pounds is amazing! Keep up the good work,…

You are the only person responsible for your life, if you don't like it, change it. Getting upset about it does nothing. Start running, start walking, take up ice skating, become a nanny, there are a million things to try in this life, just remember that you are the only one responsible if you do none of them.

Total NSV! CONGRATS!!!

I've heard of people doing things like this. Giving themselves a day to indulge in what they want. As long as you watch portion control I think you would be fine. You really just can't blow the equation: calories out must be greater than or equal to calories in.

I googled it and couldn't find anything about it... What is it?

I saw the game in a store a few days back. The website has the general layout but not the full rules. It sounds fun if I could find the right people to do it!

Great Job!!! Keep up the good work. You can clearly see a difference in your tummy. Be proud of yourself you are making a difference.

Either a priestess witchling or a super hero, depends on if my mask is finished in time @KiyaK: Burning Man :)

Absolutely not, and the only thing that I can tell you is that it takes time. Start to acknowledge all those positive comments, really take them in and savor them. They help keep the weight off in the long run. I started several years ago at 238 and even though I'm not where I want to be I struggle seeing myself as healthy.

I do not as for the distance, but my husband does. It is about 8 miles for him, he rides half and then takes the transit the rest of the way. When he is completely dead tired he takes the transit most of the way. I recommend having the option to be able to bus it part of the way, that way you can build up to it.

Trader Joes sells a high fiber and protein bar that has about 120 calories in it. They taste amazing and are made of only good stuff.

Write a pros and cons list to being at your ideal weight and being healthy.

Measure everything. Often times portion sizes can sneak up on you after a period of time.

Disney is great at having healthy snacks; bananas, oranges, apples, pineapple spears, and an assortment of veggies. The biggest thing to keep in mind is portion control, other than that, they really have great options these days!

I got married in July, my wedding dress was black with red accents and I LOVED it. I wouldn't have worn anything else :)

I recommend getting to their target and reviewing. My target weight is 120, that said I look so much better at 135-140 because I have curves. I have a german background, what can I say... So the moral of the story is loose and review, loose and review, be comfortable in your own body, that is the best way to be! Jules

It absolutely is but you have to find a balance. Giving up your normal life style means that you will not stick with something in the long run. I recommend working out on days that you drink to offset the drinking.

Work out videos. You can pick them up at the library and then if you hate them you don't have to worry about it.
-
Portion control is my first thought. Make absolutely sure that you are measuring things, it makes a difference. Also beware of trading muscle for fat. I've only lost 4 pounds, but I've lost a size for working out. Good Luck!
