  • Thank you so much!!! For some reason , MFP wouldn't launch from my watch. I fixed it and it worked! Much appreciated!
  • yes - an hour (3miles) a day at 3-4 mile pace is what helped me lose my first 66lbs.
  • I vary on the brand I drink, but I prefer French Press coffee that is a medium grind. I drinki it with no sugar and 1 tablespoon of creamer.
  • It took me losing almost 40lbs before I accepted my new body. I never did quite become comfortable in it. In the mirror, I saw all the same lumps, bumps and curves - and the attention from the opposite sex never happened, except my husband, so I still felt invisible. While my closest dropped 4 dress sizes, my mind still…
  • I still drink beer, but I have EXTREME limits on my behavior due to family history of alcoholism. I drink 1 at that's it.... I drink only once (maybe TWICE) a month. I am trying to get back on track so now I'll probably limit even more than that.
  • My brain took forever to catch up too! I would try to try on clothes that were at least a size too big... some of the best parts: - Enjoying looking at pictures - being able to see my toes - my elbow and knee - Enjoying a dress and a skirt - I hadn't worn one in 3 years. - NO MORE SPANX - seeing my collar bones,my hips,…
  • Plan ahead. Pack... don't eat out if you can avoid it. If you do eat out , try a place where you could make a salad packed with veggies. If you can pack, you can control you calories. This is what helps me... now, for me to apply this logic at dinner time.... :)

  • - FRUIT! 2/3s of my grocery bill is fruit. Bananas, plums, apples, pears, grapes, strawberries, pineapple... - lean chicken and ground beef - high-fiber low-calorie bread - organic greek yogurt, Fage specifically - salad mixes for 1 (my husband doesn't eat veggies) - red potatoes - lean lunch meats (for lunches) - 70…
  • It's not huge, but I have the same panicky feelings and anxieties from gaining back and it's a downward spiral. I started at 276 and lost 66lbs. The lowest I ever got was 208 - my goal was 190lb before reevaluating. Then I lost my job (even though my husband's health improved) and I got a new job where the culture was…
  • I'm working on that. My goal was 200, I got to 208... I celebrated getting 8lbs to goal, my husband recovering, and getting laid off by gaining 20lbs in 2 years. Sitting at 228 and trying to find where my motivation ran off too. I don't really eat much different, except I have trouble at dinner and I'm busy and am having…
  • This is my husband's favorite place to eat. I like it too, but sometimes a break can be nice. Anyway, I doubt we'd partake in this, but they are shoveling the stuff in your face. You choose to do the all you can eat apps.
  • I eat what I want - if you want to call that dirty (I don't) - and I've lost 60lbs total. Getting my motivation back to drop the rest I have left. I work with a girl who's been doing Paleo diet and cross fit for about 1/2 a year. It's working for her and it's commendable, but she gets a little judgey or is "evangelical"…
  • I'm seven days late, but I joined the group, made a ticker, and want this challenge. I've been really bad about walking/intervalling lately and need motivation! Great community!
  • It's why I don't post anymore. When I was really motivated, I was getting tons of praise. A lot happened in my life in 2012, 2013 was a transition year, and I'm finally starting to get my head turned around. I gained 10lbs, but then I've maintained. I don't talk about my struggles because when I did, I got blasted. I don't…
  • This happens to me all the time. At my old job there was food occasionally, but at my new place, there is food here literally almost every day! You don't have to eat to socialize. Go, say hi, and no thank you when they ask if you want a float. If you work at a place that has a lot of catering, eat more veggies and fruit,…
  • Goetta Skyline Chili Cheese Fries Biscuits, country sausage gravy, and breakfast potatoes - all mixed together. As a kid I ate Pop Tarts dipped in Cool Whip and Doritos on Salami Sandwiches.
  • Every pair of good shoes I've had hasn't been lower than 120. My current pare (Mizuno Wave Paradox) were 150.
  • Yes, walking counts. It's how I lost my weight and continue to maintain. If you're just starting it's one of the better things for you as it's not as hard on your joints has running. If your build up a nice pace and mileage, then you'll be fine, when coupled with watching your calorie count. I walked almost 2.5 miles today…
  • I carry a lot of belly fat and even at my smallest, I still had a pooch. I noticed that when i would interval regularly, it would get smaller and tighter. I would try an interval program like Couch to 5K/10K... Also, free weights and planking might help...
  • I'm Angie and I'm 5'5" and I weigh in at 230. When I stared in September 2012, I was 286. I have a lot more to go as I want to hit 200, see how I feel and if I can maintain at that and then maybe try for 175. I've not seen Onederland since I was in high school.
  • I have a friend who is a beachbody coach and swears by all of that and Shakeology. But, he and his wife have the money for it. I don't. I lost 66lbs eating less, moving more, and lifting free weights using free iPhone apps. I did it, it got them to do it, and when I fell off the wagon they acted like this was my lifeline.…
  • Pizza Cheese French Fries Mashed Potatoes Skyline Chili (I'm from Ohio, I know it's gross, but it's in my veins) Greasy cheeseburgers
  • I've gained back 15 of 66. I sympathize. :(
  • Look at you, man. What a success story! Jackie was a guide, but don't sell yourself short - what you did is nothing short of awesome in the literal sense of the world. Congrats!
  • If your first starting... being constantly hungry was normal for me. Your body needs a little time to adjust to the portions your giving it now in comparison to what you were eating. Now, when I get hungry here are a few things I do to combat it: - Drink water - sometimes you're actually needing water more than food. Try…
  • Nice Job! I was 30lbs heavier than you when I started and lost 60. I'm back on the road to dropping the 11 I gained plus the rest I didn't get to! This is great motivation - good on ya!
  • I like them all in different ways. My problem with Nutella is I can eat the whole jar by myself, so it doesn't often come into my house. I also don't like the serving size/calorie ratio. My favorite treat is Nutella on an english muffin or worse... a croissant. Talk about chubby girl heaven - butter pastry with chocolate…
  • I started in September 2012... lost 60lbs. I gained 11lbs back this year.... I guess I'm a resolutioner. :) These tips are nice to read!
  • I lost 60lbs and fell off the wagon after a year's worth of stress and losing my job caused me to get depressed. DO.NOT.GIVE.UP. Getting back on the wagon is harder than the first start you made on this journey.
  • I actually wear my capris and crops and ankle pants all year around. I wear them like gauchos in the winter with my knee high boots.
