I eat out of boredom. I'm learning to do something else instead. Perhaps find another outlet. Maybe going to the gym, clean the house, read a book. I have a heavy bag that I kick the *kitten* out of when I'm frustrated.

First- stop saying failure! Everyday is a life lesson. If things don't work one way, you just need to learn how to do them a different way. Take a look at what you are eating. Drink more water. I was in the Navy 20+ years ago! Man, 1.5 miles in 9 mins lol. Years ago I did the C25K and it really works. My plan is C25K three days a week and weights two days. You can add me if you'd like.

I'm doing low carb for now. I suffer from carb to mouth syndrome! It was nothing for me to sit at work and eat a bag of chips because I could. So now I'm retraining myself. After a few weeks (or longer) I'll start counting calories again. Learning to live without all of the carbs and making healthier choices.

If you are going to eat fruit, choose a fruit that is higher in fiber. You are still going to get the natural sugars. Also, avoid fruit juices. If you increase your fiber intake throughout the day you should see a difference in your sugar levels.

Try zumbacalories.com it will give you a general idea. Honestly though, I think it's best to get a heart rate monitor to get an accurate burn.

Please don't give up. I am a Zumba instructor and I have people in my class of all different fitness levels. The point of Zumba is to have fun and just keep moving. I have ladies that couldn't move and shake at the same time and after a couple of months they are moving like pros. Give yourself some time and you'll get it.…

Everytime someone picks something up, tell them how many calories are in it and how many minutes they are going to have to spend at the gym to burn it off. I do it to my husband all of the time. I figure, if I can't enjoy it, he shouldn't either. :wink:
