you will probably gain a bit but if you're smart about it you can probably control it reasonably well. I'd suggest slowly increasing your intake until you reach what you should be at. Go up 100-150 cals per week while staying lightly active. I'm sure there is lots of info out there about repairing a damaged metabolism, do…

It is mind boggling to me that with all the knowledge of proper nutrition at your fingertips you have decided it is a good idea to drink only juice for 30 days. You are destroying your metabolism. I know you have convinced yourself otherwise so I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.

I eat the same cals weather it is a gym day or not. I have recently started carb cycling though and do try to put most of my carbs surrounding my workout. I haven't decided if it is beneficial for me yet, time will tell.

If I have something bad I just try and fit it in my day. If you're over, well, tomorrow's another day. Everyone is going to go over once in a while, just try to make sure it doesn't happen too often. Forget it, move on, and kick @$s the rest of the week.

looking good! congrats on your loss.

I've said goodbye to ALL restaurants. The only exceptions are Extreme Pita if I didn't make a lunch (rare) or if I'm out in Whistler mountain biking for the day I'll stop for lunch with the guys but even then I try to stick it to the healthy stuff, no fries, soda, etc.

Most of these irritate me to some degree which is why I work out at 7am. The gym is almost empty at that hour so I don't have to deal with any obnoxious people.

Chips, Chips, Chips! But I only have them about once a week and I eat pop chips now which are significantly healthier but still satisfy my cravings for them. Less than 500cal per bag vs 1700cal so a lot easier to work them into my daily goals.

I've been eating up to 1200 cal after 6pm and I've been dropping steadily over the past month. To each their own but it doesn't seem to be a problem for me.

MFP macro ratios are messed up to being with. I switched mine to 40c/40p/20f and then carb cycle with my fats depending on which workout I have that day. My protein is always at 250g a day, up to 1.5g/lb is not unheard of and is actually quite common for a cutting diet. Meet your cals and eat the protein and don't worry so…

ahh K.. I gotcha now. Thanks for clarifying.

I get your point and you seem to have a great plan to start with the small sacrifices and then worry about weening off the sugars/sodium later. You have to do what is sustainable for you and whatever keeps you logging is great. That being said it is clear you are a lawyer. You like to brag about yourself and your career…

I was somewhat stuck so I upped mine to 2500 and the scale is moving again.
-
Possibly not eating enough for the amount you are exercising. Do you measure and weigh all of your food or do you estimate?
-
forget it and start thinking about tomorrow. Plan tomorrow's diet today and cook tomorrow's food tonight so you don't make irrational choices. I typically have my tomorrow planned out and make my lunch right before bed. Breakfast I make in the morning and diner once I get home from work but lunch get's made the night…

Open your diary! Are you eating enough? are you getting your cals from good sources?

sweet potato with some greek spice and dipped in a ranch yogurt salad dressing.
-
My favorites are Krema- coffee flavoured, Krema- vanilla infusion, Krema - Honey, Liberte- Moka, Liberte- plain, Greek Gods- Plain.
-
Yup, I agree. If you know most of the sugar is from fruit then forget about it and track something else.
-
I don't really have any suggestions other than sweet potato which you already covered, I LOVE sweet potatoes.
-
Obviously many people will have different opinons but personally I wouldn't eat anything else and take it as a lesson/learning experience. If you eat junk you'll go hungry.
-
wow.. that is WAY too much unless you are eating mad calories.
-
Assuming the following: - You have MFP set to your correct age, sex, height, and weight - You've been honest on your daily activity level - You set it to loose "x" lbs per week Then all you need to do is enter your exercise for the day that is not included with your normal daily activity and aim to have 0 cal remaining.…

yup, we have monthly birthday celebrations at work. It's great when you can resist the temptation.

scale goes missing and heads will roll.. haha. I know what you mean, I weigh and measure everything too and would be lost without it.
-
since you are trying to gain muscle you definitely need to eat and eat lots!
-
Oh sure, because you can tell what the entire structure of their relationship is from 5 lines on an internet forum. There is no mention anywhere in that post that says that her boyfriend is even aware that she is trying to watch what she eats. It is highly unlikely that you know anything about either one of them. Buch of…

I didn't read all the commends but I love how so many of you automatically default to "just dump him". No wonder the divorce rate is so high, 1 small problem and lets end the relationship. Talking and working out your problems, what a concept. haha morons.

high five!

<Or think about this guy, Terry Fox. Ran half way across Canada averaging 37km a day, he had cancer and only 1 leg and did it all on 1980 running shoe technology. If he doesn't inspire you I have no idea what will. There is literally no excuse other than being too lazy or not having the will power.
