  • Recently made this dressing and it was so fresh and delicious: Strawberry Poppy Seed Vinaigrette Ingredients: 1 cup quartered fresh strawberries 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 5 tablespoons white wine vinegar 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon poppy seeds…
  • Chicken poached in broth, rice cooked with the leftover broth, and cottage cheese! Edit: Made ahead of time for the week!

  • http://www.organizeyourselfskinny.com/2014/09/10/light-and-skinny-slow-cooker-creamy-buffalo-chicken-dip-or-salad/ I'm eating this with just Bibb lettuce and tomatoes right now and I am loving it! I made it last night and batched it up into five servings for my quick afternoon snacks for the week.
  • Monday - Chest, shoulders, triceps, 20 minutes of cardio, and a softball game (I still believe I'm young) Tuesday - 45 minutes running including warm up and cool down (around 3.5 miles...no land speed records here) Wednesday - Leg day! Thursdays - 30 minutes running including warm up and cool down (around 3.5…
  • I'm heading out on a quick vacation with my husband this week and am trying to mentally prepare. Our level of physical activity will be decent (exploring Boston on foot) but the food is always my weakness. Without being able to pre-plan my day and pack my own lunches, I am determined to make the best food choices possible…
  • I've personally had great success with the 24 Day Challenge. I lost more inches than pounds and kept those inches off. Its a great kick-start to healthy living...not fad dieting. Contrary to some of the posts made thus far, you don't starve at all. You eat lean proteins, carbs, vegetables, etc.

  • I really hate water myself so drinking it tends to be a chore. I've found that not all water is created equal despite it all being H2O. I'm a huge tightwad when it comes to money but I splurge and buy 1L bottles of Evian. I'm drinking one right now, actually. (I'm an enviro engineer so I know that its not good for the…

  • I was so happy to see the challenge this week. I had actually just posted on my wall about "stress eating" when I'm feeling under the weather. I did great at the beginning of the week but once I started feeling a little run down, I let my guard down and started with the fast food. Because of this, I weighed in this morning…
  • Best of luck today. I hope the light-headedness was an isolated incident. You will blast through running class tonight...I just know it!
  • This recipe was in the recipe forums and is a great make-ahead. I've been eating it with a quick half-sandwich and strawberries or hummus/pretzels each day. Great for a brown bagger. Throw all ingredients in a bowl in this order: -1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed -1pint cherry (or grape) tomatoes, halved -4oz fresh…
  • Thanks everyone for the great advice. I think I didn't feel like eating my exercise calories last night because I had just finished exercising. I walked at lunch today and didn't want my mid-afternoon snack. Tonight, I will be adding a few more minutes to my exercise but I'm definitely going to go with the protein shake…
  • I had a partial (still have the ovaries) performed almost three years ago. You will not get an opportunity for the next few weeks to do much of anything. First and foremost, focus on relaxing and letting your body heal. Eat the same healthy foods and do snacks and treats (and everything else) in moderation. Log your…
  • Everyone is doing so well! Its an inspiration to see all the "under his/her calorie goal" feeds. I did much better on the sleep last night! Though I did get up for about an hour at 0200, I feel much more rested from going to bed earlier. Question for everyone: I know this is a controversial topic on MFP but I want my…
  • Hey everyone! I hope Monday is treating you well. After my sushi weakness yesterday evening, I'm back on top of things today. Packed my lunch (made a recipe from the Recipe forum - Red, White, and Yahoo) and have drank plenty of water today. I was running behind this morning so the workout will have to happen after work.…
  • Hello everyone! I am new to the site and am super excited to be a part of this challenge. I've made my food diary open to friends and am in the process of adding everyone taking part in the challenge. I am certainly open to suggestions on the foods I'm consuming. I often struggle to stay under on carbs but seem to do well…

  • I've been feeling this for the last couple days myself. However, I'm just now starting out and figured it was just becoming accustomed to the new eating habits. If it happens to you every now and again, can you think of any triggers such as eating at different times, type of calories you're eating, etc?
