Any homemade healthy dressing recipes?

I use one of the Italian dressing packets. I add a little extra red wine vinegar, a little less oil, and a little bit more water. I also add in garlic powder. Shake it all up and it is pretty tasty and less calories than the normal recipe calls for because these is less oil!
Play around with the proportions if you dislike a strong vinegar taste.1 -
I keep it simple. Smash a clove of garlic through the crusher or finely chop some shallot. Add ground pepper and a pinch of salt. I add 10 ml of balsamic vinegar and 5 ml of extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I add a pinch of Italian herbs. As the poster above said, play around to see what you like.2

I use plain yogurt as the base for most of my salad dressings. It's gives a creamy texture without all the fat of mayo. It's usually something like 2 tablespoons of yogurt, 1 tbsp of EVOO, salt and pepper and whatever other spices I feel like and a squeeze of lemon for a large 2-person salad.3

I like to go Asian inspired with 3:1 rice vinegar to sesame oil, some raw chilli, garlic and a good squeeze of lime juice.1

To reduce calories, I often start with 1/4 C (56 grams) of fat free cottage cheese, to which I add 1 t of olive oil and a squeeze of lemon, or 1 T Newman's Ranch dressing.

I like this Greek inspired vinaigrette I found! Yields about 1/2 cup.
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 lemon, juiced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. dried oregano leaves
3 pinches of salt
10-15 grinds black pepper
Each tbsp. serving is about 35 calories.3 -

I know I'm absolutely in the minority here, but I've been eating my salad with spicy mustard. for one tbsp I believe its 20 calories, no carbs, no fat. and for me, I would rather use my macros on something other than salad dressing.0

I like to take a recipe for ranch dressing and modify it a little..

.. and switch the amounts of mayo to 1/2 cup and substitute 1 cup 0% greek yogurt for the 1/2 cup of sour cream.1 -

Recently made this dressing and it was so fresh and delicious:
Strawberry Poppy Seed Vinaigrette
Ingredients:
1 cup quartered fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
5 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
Preparation:
Toss together strawberries, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl; let stand 15 minutes. Transfer the strawberry mixture to a blender, and process until smooth, about 30 seconds. Turn blender on low, and gradually add olive oil in a slow, steady stream. Return mixture to bowl, and whisk in poppy seeds. Whisk vinaigrette just before serving.1 -

I get tons of hits on my pinterest for this "salad dressings 101". I no longer worry about a teaspoon to tablespoon oil in my dressing, as it helps so much with satiety.

I have used cider vinegar or lemon juice with flaxseed oil, with salt and whatever herbs I pinch off my plants that day.0 -

Any kind of vinegar, salt, pepper, oregano and garlic powder (add olive oil if you want but it's not needed)0
