I second what Melaniecn77 said, try not to hold on. I used to find it a nightmare but worked up to 4000 stairs in an hour, now working on speed. Juat keep at it, i found intervals work best (i did 500 stairs as fast as i could, then slowed down to around level 4/5 for 500 stairs)

I haven't read all the replies, but when i was getting back into running i was getting really bad pain along my shins which sometimes extended to my calves a bit. Its now completely gone, a mixture of stretching (focusing on hamstrings and calves) and foam rolling my calves solved this for me. I had gone to a physio who…

I do get the 'wear what your comfortable in' idea, but its hard to find things i do feel comfortable in, and as my boyfriend tells me, if you dont give something a go, you never will expand your comfort zone.

I'm sorry i don't quite understand your question. If your asking what equipment you need for a home gym, well me and my training buddies are looking at bench with squat rack (http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/multi_press_racks/bodysolid_multi_press_rack_package_grey/7443_p.html), Olympic 20kg bar with 180kg of weight…

people consider this slightly extreme, although its considered one of the most effective ways of cutting, and "real" toning. What you do is go to the pharmacy, and buy ketone stix, or Ketone sticks, this is a strip that tests your urine for ketone bodies. Ketone bodies are created by the body when you go into a state of…

a little while ago i had bad stomach problems. went for a run, then a mile from my house i had some of the worst stomach cramps iv ever had, and had to walk the rest of the way home. my mum doesn't drive and my dad was at work. was so horrible. almost put me off running. but i love it too much :)

Thanks for posting these. As a girl who works out with two guys (and rather strong ones at that) i kinda needed the muscular female pics as motivation and goals. especially since every time my mum sees my arms or legs she tells me to stop weight training!

iv stopped logging everyday because i realized that calorie counting wasn't working for me as i want to build muscle and therefore cant afford to be cutting that much, and seeing how many calories iv eaten then just makes me feel bad. so i keep logging in to read the boards. but i only log once in a while.

good for you :) i did the same, i went from not being able to do one real push up 3 weeks ago to now being able to do up to 15 in a row :) it seems that once you can do one, improving is easy. in that time iv also added 10kg to my bench press (from 30 to 40) so im rather proud of my chest muscles at the moment too keep up…

cutiepie2628, woman dont really bulk, so you dont need to worry about that. im up to pressing 45k on my chest and am no bigger than when i struggled with 20k. you will gain muscle which weighs more than fat (so dont let the weight get you down), but remember muscle burns more cals, so the more muscle the easier the weight…
