I read a book about habits, wish I could remember the name to cite it, but generally it said what you are getting at... when we make a decision to change one habit, others just naturally follow and it even has affects in other parts of our lives that have nothing to do with the change we made in the first place.

Bottom line the only reason ANY diet works is because of CICO. There is no magical pill or eating formula outside of that to just absorb fat. When I was younger my mother only bought things/food/clothes if they were on sale...I thought it meant everyone was only allowed to buy stuff that is for sale and I always wondered why in the world all that other stuff was in the store if it was not for sale and people couldn't buy it.
