My latest NSV was finishing an indoor triathlon yesterday and hitting all of my goals!

I'm doing my first triathlon on Saturday. I've felt like i needed a bit of fuel during training, but only like a small apple sauce packet or something. My advice would be to try out some options during your training.

2 days til the race. Getting all pumped now.

I've had the VA HR since it came out. I find it does everything that I want it to do. Really like it. Works great for lap swimming metrics, biking, running, step counting, etc.

PB2 is not very good on its own. I add it to my protein shakes to give a little extra flavor.

Thanks for the info. I may look at the finis brand ones

I'm the total opposite with LaCroix. I love the stuff. Never tried the plain seltzer, but the fruit flavor LaCroix's are my favorite drink right now.

I hated the normal coconut water I tried. Gross! I've tried BODYARMOR before. That has some coconut water in it and its not bad.
-
Gosh, I tried that as well. Horrible taste. Maybe the fake sugar. I went right back to the real stuff and just made sure to fit it into my overall calories.

Unexpectedly working on a Saturday after I got called in.

The memories I hang on to the most are all related to doing fun things with my family. They stick with me. Making those same type of memories with my own kids is one of the reasons why I committed to get and stay healthy. I want to be able to do as much fun memory making with my own wife and kids for as long as I can!

If you are ok with around $100, Jaybird X2's are amazing. Lightweight and great sound. I love mine. Best pair of workout bluetooth headphones I've ever owned

I'm trying to be more of a cyclist. I'm in training for my first triathlon. Most of my cycling of late has either been on a nice spin bike at my gym or on my own bike turbo trainer in the garage.

I'm pretty partial to Garmin. Although I have the Vivoactive HR, if I was looking for just a running watch, I would go with the 630.

My dream home gym would include: A high end treadmill A good rowing machine A very good spin bike A 25 yrd lap pool or an endless pool A dumbell/barbell set and a Sauna Luckily the gym I am a member of has all of these.

+1 for Hal Higdon's plans. I used his Novice 2 plan for my first Half. I was able to follow it pretty closely and had great luck in my race. Good luck!

Go to a running store and have them fit you specifically for shoes that fit your running style. You may pay a little more for shoes, but you are going to be able to run better and with less chance of injury than just using shoes from a sporting goods store.

That was me. I lost a bunch of weight, but gained it back over a few years after getting lazy. I've almost got back down to my previous goal weight. This time it is staying off for good!

Since I was in the Navy, I've always enjoyed swimming. I've found a new love of it recently since my son joined a competitive swim team. Any recommendations for a training plan?

Me! I lost 40 lbs and I have to bundle up a bit more. My body was used to having a little more insulation.

I'm hoping to do another Half Marathon in May of 2017 as well

+1 on the Jaybird X2. They are the best bluetooth headphone's I've ever owned. They have great sound, great battery life and are pretty comfortable as well. They are light and stay out of the way.
