  • Bumping for more inspiration!
  • Hi. My sister has Erb's palsy of the right shoulder too. She has found that swimming is a great way to increase muscle and mobility.
  • Some people do weigh everyday, but it can become obsessive. Earlier this year I was weighing everyday and it would play on my mind what the scale said all day. So I asked my partner to hide it from me and I promised myself I wouldn't look for it. But I'm probably in a different situation as I was slowly gaining weight due…
  • I'm 5'4 and currently 57kg (125lb) looking to stay about the same weight but gain some muscle!
  • Love this idea, and love hearing about other peoples awesome spouses :) My partner is very very fit and we met through him taking martial arts classes which I attended. He's been super supportive of me through my 3-year degree and honours year, encouraging me to study hard and train hard, but never pressured me to train if…
  • Beautiful! My Jazz is very very similar with a ridge down her back. Always wondered what she was too..... we just write ridgeback x but shes a mixer :)
  • Hey fellow Aussie! Good on you taking the challenge of the dreaded ladder! I don't work in the city so I've never done it, but if you can do 5-6 times already your doing really well. Maybe work on time (ie going up faster) or taking the stairs 2 at a time if your looking to push yourself? Or just ask some one who looks…
  • Agree ^^ Also I've heard of a few "singles boot camp" classes, maybe google to see if there's anything in your area?
  • Well done you look awesome!
  • Have to go with the built fat. The athletic has too low bf%. Prefer between 10-12%. Some one who looks fit and healthy (and will join me on an occasional ice-cream run!).
  • People do ask A LOT of questions about it when they find out I'm vegetarian. I understand it's out of curiosity, but it's mainly about my personal reasons. In fact chi118 has got my quote completely! "So... why don't you eat meat?". I normally just answer with "because I don't see the difference between a cow and a dog"…
  • I agree with this. If your able to easily lift the weight with straight arms out in front to your shoulders it's generally too light. You want your whole body involved and that will get the best results. I've got an 8kg(18lb) for snatchs and 16kg for swings etc. Good luck!
  • If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.
  • My best tabata workouts involve both cardio, weights and body weight exercises. Examples: Pushups Dips Burpees Jumping Squats ( or weighted ) Sit Ups Dead Lifts High intensity work-out that you can definately feel the next day! :)

  • Thanks for this post! I'm 166cm (5ft4) and 57kg (125lb) and my BF% is 25% according to an electronic scales at my gym. My profile picture is the only one i have. I think the BF% highlights that different people have very different builds and carry the weight in different areas, which just isn't considered in BMI
