Chocolate. I try to give in occasionally with diet hot cocoa or a piece of sugar free chocolate just so I don't feel completely deprived.

I will be making broiled shrimp, scallops and broccoli.

I agree with doing it at a time that is best for you. I am NOT a morning person, but was trying to go to the gym at 5am before my son and husband got up and it just wasn't working for me. I work evenings and felt wide awake when I got out of work, so one night I said I would go to the gym after work and I have been doing…

I make these in my dehydrator and they are delicious. Cheesy flavor, but no cheese! Yum!…

Health Insurance companies have been doing this for a while with HRA and HSA policies. I work for Anthem and if your BMI is below a certain level you get more money added to your account, or if you lose a certain percentage of your body weight within a year and keep it off they do the same. Some are not always very…

Very true. My husband and I ate out at Cheesecake Factory a few years ago only to be completely shocked to realize that for our lunch we ate almost 3,000 calories each. Yikes! McDonald's would have been more reasonable at that point.

:) I have eliminated processed sugars as well. I really enjoy my meals of quinoa, brown rice, veggies now. It's to the point that the thought of having something with refined sugar (yes I thought of a 3 muketeers bar earlier) makes me feel ill.

ha ha. I am doing Rockin' Body right now and when the bar on the bottom of the screen says cool down, sometimes I find myself saying, "oh, thank god." ha ha

When I get really tired part way through a workout and I push through and make it to the end. I am stronger then I think!

Married for 6 and 1/2 yrs, together for 11 and 1/2 yrs.

I'm saying it doesn't help people who you know are eating only 800 calories and just waiting for them to crash and burn. Not that they need to eliminate foods.
-
And those threads have become so common now, most do just say yes.... And then wait for the "OMG I crash and burned" thread. [/quote] Does this honestly help the person though? They gave the opportunity, if you know it's wrong, to speak up.

I agree with this. Sometimes in these boards it doesn't come across that way. I am just looking at it from another angle. She didn't specify, but she didn't say she didn't want to be healthy either. Nothing wrong with putting it out there, because some people honestly don't realize that they can't live off those food…

I didn't get anything mixed up. They are both used in antifreeze, I just mentioned one of them, look it up. Oh and BTW I got an A in high school and college chemistry.

These responses are purely about ability to lose weight on these foods and not about overall health. I am talking about overall health, not just what the number on the scale reads. People can work out all they want, but athletic people can have diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, etc. as well.
-
I am stating purely that I look at ingredients and if I don't want to eat that ingredient then I don't eat that product. I have the right to do that. I have a degree in science and I am not ignorant in the subject. I choose to eliminate the ones that I have done my own research on and have decided I don't want to eat them…

Not all brands use the same ingredients. Does McDonald's use Kraft brand??

I agree health can be acheived with treats in moderation, but those who choose to eliminate them as much as possible, if not entirely because they prefer eating the healthier foods shouldn't be shunned. That being said, I have my own treats I enjoy, I make brownies out of nuts, dates and coconut, agave, etc. To me it's…
