  • Pick me, pick me!
  • I always wonder just how much your body is absorbing from taking vitamins that way. I once heard it said that North Americans have the most expensive pee because we buy into cheap vitamin substances and our body doesn't know what to do with it and just pushes it through our system without absorbing it.
  • I really enjoyed Tiger's Curse and Tiger's Quest by Colleen Houck.
  • Well yeah, too much of ANYTHING can be lethal. That is really sad that happened to him. But you can't blame water. Water isn't the problem. Stupidity of people abusing a good thing, is.
  • Well, here's my opinion. The clincher for me is that this a "new study". In my mind, one new study does not negate years of study showing the benefits of drinking water. Water is one of the only natural liquids that doesn't have a bunch of junk added to it. Our bodies are mostly made up of water. We need it. And I find…
  • Good tips! The only thing I disagree with is the potatoes. I think buying "pre-made", processed food in leiu of the original is rarely a good idea. Just buy a smaller bag of potatoes, or share with a friend. If you keep them in a cool, dry place they last forever.

This weekend I didn't even really update my food because I was always eating at other people's houses, appetizer type things, snippets here and there really so I wasn't even sure how to enter it. I'm finding that if I plan ahead, like eat really low cal breakfasts like…

  • Well, first step completed. You've identified a problem and have made a decision to rectify it. :) The thing about getting healthy is that yes, it does take time and it does take commitment. That's the reality. The truth is we make time for the things we care about. Changing your diet and watching what you eat, counting…
  • I had that same problem when I first tried drinking lots of water. I find that the best way is to just DO it. No sipping, just gulp 'er down. I fill up my glass, and I don't do anything until it's empty. I find if I sip every now and again, I don't actually drink very much. Your body gets used to it, and it will soon start…
