Divorced three years , thankfully. Single and not looking.

I'm still not used to seeing the new me, despite being on maintenance for the last four months. Enjoy the feeling of looser clothes and having more energy.

One of my favourite movie quotes and it gets a few strange looks when I say it to people. IMHO, there is no way to drink coffee other than black, anything else is just a coffee flavoured drink.

I was told by my doctor that I would lose weight when prescribed metformin in August last year, for diabetes not PCOS. I lost my appetite almost completely and the weight began to drop off quickly. I was concerned about calorie intake and regularly had to force myself to eat nuts to get myself over 1200 calories per day…

Neither, though I have seen The Godfather a few dozen times.

You are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the great work.

BMI is only the ratio of your height to weight and does not really cater for specific types of bodies. For example most rugby players would be considered obese by BMI measurements, but obviously are not. Try to get your body fat measurement which will enable you to work out what your ideal weight should be.

I don't think caffeine is the reason for weight gain  But seriously, try caffeine free, sugar free versions if they are available and resist the temptations by the check out.

I started off at 280 in September. Now at 192, my lightest for 30 years, and almost at my target weight of 190. Now to start some strength work to tone up those bits of loose skin..

Wallabies, a camel and two elephants. Heard some lions. And of course, thousands of lemings queueing to get into the safari park I walk around.

Try Endomondo - it's free, can be used for lots of sports/exercise and has a nice website. Calorie calculation appears to be on a par with MFP.

Do whatever you can, don't worry about getting to 30 minutes straight away.

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last August. My weight loss has meant that I am controlling it and my sugar levels are normal. The clinics I attended when diagnosed were a bit Janet and John but I did take on board the message - I will always be diabetic and it is the control of the condition that it important. I…

I feel cold all the time and it hurts to sit down due to lack of padding! I prefer the new me though

Try adding some nuts as a snack - almonds for example - to increase the amount of calories you consume. I had a similar issue with medication killing my appetite and used this to help.

At least 4 large mugs of black coffee between 7 am and midday. 2 mugs of decaffinated black coffee in the evening. I don't like my coffee messed with! If you wanted cream and sugar why do you ask for coffee!

I had an attack of gout which stopped me from being able to walk for 2 weeks. When I eventually got to see the doctor, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and pernicious anaemia. I was also told I was a candidate for hip replacement surgery. I did not want to have to be medicated for…

I love reading some of these comments. For me: Feeling the cold after losing 'insulation' Enjoying the feeling when I've finished my workout walk Knowing that I can eat what I want as long as it is in moderation Buying new trousers does not always mean having to have drawstring waists But mainly People want to know what…

Failure is not an option! I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one…

I do this with grated parmesan and also when I pour milk over breakfast cereal, spooning stuff from jars and the spread I use on toast!
