I am getting results from the bootcamp. I've lost 12 lbs in the last 6 weeks. They have us on a low carb diet. I think for now I'm going to try to do both. I honestly need the social aspect to keep me on track. I do understand that New Rules is a commitment and that's part of the appeal. I want something that will keep me…

I'm 5'6" and 176 lbs. My primary goals are to lose fat. But I know that if I do that primarily with cardio, I'll just be a smaller version of what I am now. I want to lift so I can change my shape. I really have no waist to speak of.
-
I'd like some friends that lift.

Hi everyone. I'm thinking about starting New Rules and I wanted your opinion. I belong to the Y and I am part of a bootcamp program that meets for 30 minutes 3 days a week. I love my bootcamp group and don't want to give them up. It's a strong group that really supports one another. At bootcamp, we do quite a bit of…

I'm going the wrong direction. I'm up two pounds, BUT my jeans fit better. So, I'm not going to complain too much.

Check out the paper towel theory of weight loss.

That's great! Progress feels amazing.

October 20th- 1 mile October 21st-3.1 miles October 22nd- 1 mile Total 5/20 A little worried about meeting my meager goal since I'll be out of commission Thursday, Friday, and probably Saturday. Darn skin cancer prevention.

I was thinking about super sticky tape on such delicate skin. I remember putting bandaids on my nipples once. Hurt like Hades. That's my point of reference here. But thanks for that image.

Duct tape! Yikes!!!

You almost got a teacher in trouble. The title was too good. I had to read it.

Thanks for the tips everyone. Very enlightening. I'm primarily running and doing cross training. I live in Tennessee so it gets cool but not blisteringly cold like some states.

We rarely get snow in my area. Does that skew the answers?

I hear my trainer yelling "You can't outrun the fooooork." Then I think about running and how I suck at it, and the shin splints I had, and how little bits of spit hit me in the race as I run-sucking wind as my trainer yells that I'm too slooooooooooooow; and then I turn and walk away.

I have a pair of green pants I really want to fit. They are so cute. I'm not there yet. I may hang them up.

Scroll all the way down. It's at the bottom of your food page.

My birthday is in June too. I think I see a mutual goal.

Hmmmm I'm going to jump in where I am. I'm going to set a very conservative goal of 20 miles in the next 13 days. I'm new to running, but want to run at least a little every day. I haven't learned to like it yet. Still working on that one.

Am I too late? Starting weight 176.4 Height 5'6"

My high school and pre-pregnancy weight are the same. But I've been told I was too thin at 130-135. Also, there's the fact that I have more muscle now that I did then which makes a weight goal seem frivolous. Sizes are so wonky, they can't be trusted. I'm still not sure what to do. I wish women's sizes were like mens.…
