    October 20th- 1 mile
    October 21st-3.1 miles
    October 22nd- 1 mile
    Total 5/20

A little worried about meeting my meager goal since I'll be out of commission Thursday, Friday, and probably Saturday. Darn skin cancer prevention.

10/21 - rest day - walked about a million miles volunteering at Special Olympics
That sounds like fun! We volunteer at a camp for Joni & Friends and love it. How did you get involved with Special Olympics?

My daughter's cross country/track coach is very involved at the state level and asked us a few years back if we wanted to help out. It's a very rewarding way to spend the day. Quite honestly every kid should have to volunteer in this way, my daughter realizes how lucky she is to be healthy. She also volunteers for a variety of things through our church.

My daughter was involved with Special Olympics in High School and in a larger role in college. We had a lot of fun volunteering at the events too!

I would take cold and rainy any time over hot and humid, even over hot and dry! We aren't usally too humid here but we are definitely hot and most times too hot (at least for me)! This weekend 'should' be perfect running weather at least early - 54 at the race start and mid 60s by the finish, but it is supposed to be close to 90 for a high!

You're running another race this weekend? Go Shanaber! 5K, 10K, HM, or Marathon? & is this your 2nd or 3rd in October?

Another half this Sunday - my 2nd this month... only because I promised my nephew to run a race with him and he picked it  It is through wine country so it should be beautiful and pretty hilly but there will be wine at the end!!

I have my second 5K on Sunday. Hoping to beat my PB of 30:10. This morning I beat it I think because it was SO nice out! I run at 4:30am due to the heat and my busy schedule. And today it was around 60 out, no humidity! Hope it's like that on Sunday.
