    OK... just hit the halfway mark with a week to go so I really do admit defeat. Even so, I'm still going and, well, I've just committed to this running malarkey and signed up to a 10K next June #bonkers!

    10/1 - rest
    10/23 - 6 miles - 6 horrible awful miles - I worked for every single 1/10 of a mile, my legs were saying NO from the first step.

    Total: 113.42 of 70

    Hey, you're more than 43miles PAST target with a week to go and you RAN 6 MILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go!

    Last month you set a goal of 8 miles & you beat it with 10 1/2 miles. You've already run almost 16 miles this month. That's about 1.5 times last months mileage & double last months goal! (Math Geeks close your eyes here, I'm making a point not being exact.) You really are improving! (*) You set a huge goal for yourself & you've been running your heart out to hit it. Somewhere in there you realized this: " running more of my route, and faster. I like it!!!" You're doing something you enjoy, that will keep you healthy. Sounds like a win to me. :)

      Well, I made it 16.82 miles for the month. Doctor said no more running for now, so it's back to walking for me. Hope to return to running soon.

      There is NO defeat!! You are far beyond most people who never even get up off the couch! You will be awesome in that 10K and have so much fun! Careful though - it can be addicting! :D

      Oct 15 - Didn't run but went for a 10k hike in the woods. Was an amazing day for it too.

      Oct 17 - 1 hour of swimming laps. Super rainy here today and no good for a
      run.

      Oct 19 - Another long day at work
      Oct 20 - 5k....and new PR for my fastest 1k and fastest 1 mile time. Yay!

      Oct 22 - One long work day/ rest day
      Oct 23 - Short hike in the woods

      Still got 25k to go of my 90k goal.
      The end is in sight!

      Holy freaking cow! I am less than FIVE miles from hitting my monthly goal. I have NEVER hit my monthly goal before. This is my third time participating and I am just ecstatic that not only will I hit my goal but I might actually surpass it. That is just beyond amazing to me. :D

      This is turning out to be my worst month of running this year... it's really pi**ing me off...
      Hang in there budy! We all have bad months every so often. I am struggling this month too.

      Hang in there! Keep the current course steady and see where it takes you. Adjust for next month if you have to or try again.
