    Oct 15 - Didn't run but went for a 10k hike in the woods. Was an amazing day for it too.
    Oct 16 - 5K
    Oct 17 - 1 hour of swimming laps. Super rainy here today and no good for a
    run.
    Oct 18 - One long day at work
    Oct 19 - Another long day at work
    Oct 20 - 5k....and new PR for my fastest 1k and fastest 1 mile time. Yay!
    Oct 21 - 6k
    Oct 22 - One long work day/ rest day
    Oct 23 - Short hike in the woods
    Oct 24 - 5k
    Oct 25 - 7k

    Still got 18k to go of my 90k goal.
    The end is in sight!

    Queenmedusa - don't admit defeat, it's not defeat not to reach your goal, it's defeat to never try! Always be proud of what you accomplish!!!

    Thank you for your kindness. I'm being totally bowled over by how nice runners are!!!! Must be all those endorphins!!!! The last two weeks of coughing and having a chest full of crap haven't helped one bit but you're right, it's defeat never to try. I can and I will!!!!

    5K this morning! I did beat my PB - my chip time said 28:35!
    First 5K was last month and that was in 30:10.

    The first mile was brutal. I think it had to be my slowest mile. I don't know it was just hard to breathe and there were so many people. Also I was standing at the starting line for about 20 minutes. I never saw the sign for the first mile time but when I saw the time for mile 2 I saw I was doing well so that gave me hope for mile 3. Mile 3 is always my fastest mile. And I even had energy to really sprint at the end. Because it was through the theme park it was a very twisty route.

    Fantastic!!! My first mile is always my worse, I always start off thinking I'm going to die LOL Keep up the good work, that is a great PB!

    Yep, the thought I might die did cross my mind! Thanks!
    Next one is on Thanksgiving morning. It's hard to imagine I can beat today's PB, but I only started running in July so even one hour would have seemed impossible then.

    Been interesting reading the comments about the 5ks. Now that I've signed up to a 10k I started remembering the sight of the runners who did a 5k that I volunteered at a few months ago. They were stumbling over, gasping for breath and some were sick. What have I let myself in for???????? LOL

    10 miles today.

    New shoes seem to have helped. I also tried taping my shins with Kinesio tape; I guess it helped, but I can't rule out the placebo effect either.
