Holy freaking cow! I am less than FIVE miles from hitting my monthly goal. I have NEVER hit my monthly goal before. This is my third time participating and I am just ecstatic that not only will I hit my goal but I might actually surpass it. That is just beyond amazing to me.

My daughter's cross country/track coach is very involved at the state level and asked us a few years back if we wanted to help out. It's a very rewarding way to spend the day. Quite honestly every kid should have to volunteer in this way, my daughter realizes how lucky she is to be healthy. She also volunteers for a variety of things through our church.0 -

My daughter was involved with Special Olympics in High School and in a larger role in college. We had a lot of fun volunteering at the events too!

I have my second 5K on Sunday. Hoping to beat my PB of 30:10. This morning I beat it I think because it was SO nice out! I run at 4:30am due to the heat and my busy schedule. And today it was around 60 out, no humidity! Hope it's like that on Sunday.
