Just a little glimpse at my usual running route...I love Autumn...
October to date: 10/1/14: 4.2 miles (hills and mud)
10/2/14: 5.3 miles
10/3/14: Rest
10/4/14: 7.6 miles
10/5/14: 8.6 miles
10/6/14: 6.3 miles
10/7/14: Rest
10/8/14: Pilates/ST
10/09/14: 8.5 miles
10/10/14: Pole/Strength Training
10/11/14: 5.8 miles
10/12/14: Rest/Strength Training
10/13/14: 6.3 miles
10/14/14: Rest/walk
10/15/15: Rest/ST
10/16/14: 9.4 miles
10/17/14: Walk/Rest day
10/18/14: Walk/Rest
10/19/14: 6.2 miles
10/20/14: Walk/Rest day
10/21/14: 10.4 miles
10/22/14: Rest day
10/23/14: 7.6 miles

10/19 - 9.5 miles longest run!

10/21 - rest day - walked about a million miles volunteering at Special Olympics
10/22 - 9.1 miles
10/23 - 6 miles - 6 horrible awful miles - I worked for every single 1/10 of a mile, my legs were saying NO from the first step.

I have my second 5K on Sunday. Hoping to beat my PB of 30:10. This morning I beat it I think because it was SO nice out! I run at 4:30am due to the heat and my busy schedule. And today it was around 60 out, no humidity! Hope it's like that on Sunday.

Last month you set a goal of 8 miles & you beat it with 10 1/2 miles. You've already run almost 16 miles this month. That's about 1.5 times last months mileage & double last months goal! (Math Geeks close your eyes here, I'm making a point not being exact.) You really are improving! (*) You set a huge goal for yourself & you've been running your heart out to hit it. Somewhere in there you realized this: " running more of my route, and faster. I like it!!!" You're doing something you enjoy, that will keep you healthy. Sounds like a win to me.

Just back from 2 weeks on hols and managed to keep the running going in between sunbathing and cerveza/sangria!!
