Most people do 20 percent when they are trying to lose significant amount of weight. Seeing you only have a few lbs to lose I would aim for no more than 10 percent.

I like the elliptical better, I think its easier to use, get started with, and burns more calories overall than the treadmill. I am 35 weeks pregnant now so not really exercising at the moment but when I was regularly I could do 30-40 minutes on the elliptical no problem but couldn't run a mile on the treadmill. I think…

Absolutely. Calories in veggies add up! I don't worry if I go over but it helps me keep track nutrtionally.

subbing as I'll be in your shoes in a few weeks! :)

The diet in itself doesn't sound too unrealistic. Basically you are to a point where you should set yourself up eating in a way that you can see doing for the rest of your life otherwise any weight lost is going to come right on back if you can' stick to it. I *know* that eating real unprocessed foods are "best"…

Its been pretty accurate for me but I eat at more national chains like olive garden, ect when we go out. I believer estaraunts have to provide you with nurtrition info if you ask so it might be worth calling and asking how many calories are in those things. Otherwise I know people just find something similar and do the…

Natural sugars are better than processed sugars any day. If you have the room in your diary for it and its not putting you way over on sugars I see aboslutely nothing wrong with it.

I've worked out with my dh at the gym before but I could never work out in the living room if he was staring at me from behind LOL!

I record it all as well. It may not look pretty but it will be fun to check my progress over time!

Thats really neat to know. My weight went up 3lbs this week and I was starting to freak out and then today it was back to normal. I haven't been eating much fruit the last few days (generally bananas, kiwi, ect) so it would make sense that the potassium makes a difference.

From strictly a food based perspective if you really look at the ingredient list and research what everything is you will find that the food in the lean cuisine really isn't "real" food like we would have consumed 50-100 years ago. There are additives upon additives, corn is in EVERYTHING, the food companies actually…

What is your protein and fat consumption like? I am a carb a holic but I find when I do eat a ton of protein (75 to 100 plus grams) I am a lot more satisfied. Especially if your lifting. I'd look at healthy fat consumption too. It's hard just doing it ugh.

There is a website on a family that did it for $1 per day for a month let me try and find it

I would either go with the 1500 and eat about half of your exercise calories back OR eat the 1900 and don't eat any exercise calories back. Not your TDEE + exercise calories. And yes you don't need to go overboard on calories seeing you have a higher body fat percentage BUT starvation mode is REAL no matter how much you…

Me, me, me!! And it makes sense that its getting worse lately because its winter and gloomy (I am not a winter person) don't get outside and am limited to do much exercising aside from cleaning and walking (I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy) not to mention the fact I normally have a sugar addiction anyways but this is…

I am sorry I guess I wasn't clear, know I need to wait to exercise until the dr gives me the clear. (and heck with 3 kids 5 and under I'm sure I wont have the energy for a while) But I am was just referring to the number on the scale. Should I bulk up with weights at 235 or do cardio until I get closer to 180's and then…

You're doing super awesome! :) There is as much as a difference inbetween the second and third picture as there is the first and second. Totally inspiring. :)

Eating healthy makes the biggest difference for me. The days that I have super bad days and eat junk even if under my "goals" for the day I feel sluggish, feel like crap, am tried, just feel blah. When I am eating good fats, more protein, fruits, and veggies I FEEL better and my body wants more of that. My problem is once…

Sent you a request & anyone else interested I'd love to give you all support to. I try and comment and encourage all my friends on here. :)

Your diary isn't open so we can't see it.

You can eat wine and cheese and still be under your calories for the day that part is fine. However, I know for me after I have a couple glasses of wine food starts flying into my mouth and an incredible rate as does more wine, ect. Keep your portions in check and I don't see a problem with it.

calculate your TDEE and eat 20% below that. Unless your 5'2 and sedetary I'm guessing your body is in starvation mode. Esepcially seeing you said you work out 6-7 days a week.
-
There are no foods that you need to eliminate unless if they are trigger foods for you. For example there are a certain few things that for me a frenzy takes over and I WILL eat a whole box of and cannot stop. As long as you are under your calories/goals for the day I don't buy into needing to eliminate anything! If you…

Drink water to lose water. I hate regular plain water but there is at least a couple pound difference in the scale when I stick to pure clean water vs drinking the same amount of other liquids.

We average $125 a week or so but that includes a TON of organic produce and 2 school lunches for my kids everyday. (we go through 2 big containers of rasperries, a bulk thing of blueberries, a 5lb bag of apples, a bag of grapefruit, several pounds of bananas, a big bag of kiwi, a bulk thing of strawberries every week, not…

I didn't say that there was anything wrong with skim milk or that it would be harmful, just pointed out the fact that there could very possibly be other reasons why her sister decided to chose whole milk over skim. And not all vitamins are created equal -- I never said women shouldn't take vitamins. (I take them) but there…
