Not sure if you are avoiding instant oatmeal or not but here are some of the things I do: Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal + blueberries/blackberries Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal + banana/blueberries/blackberries (just one or a combo of 2) Greek Yogurt: with 1/2 tbsp honey only with 1/2 tbsp honey & fruit…

Thanks! I love soup in the fall/winter. Do you know what your serving size was?
-
This must be why I've read that you shouldn't weigh yourself the day after you lift weights. I made that mistake this morning and had "gained" 3 pounds since Monday.
-
I have this same setup and haven't had any crazy calorie estimates. Mainly 300ish calories for a one hour lift session where I tire myself out so I just stick with what it is estimating.

I keep the app running while I am exercising and within eye sight. I use both the Polar app and the Digifit app but mostly keep the Digifit screen up. It lets me know what zone I am exercising in, bpm, and a percentage. If I am over 100% (typically in spin class) it will yell at me and I know to back it down.

I suggest investing about $25 for a digital food scale. Logging my food for the day is so much easier when I can weigh it out and plug in the correct weights.

I made this one a few weekends ago when we had friends over. It seemed to go over well with everyone. I lightened it up with using skim milk, 98% ff cream of whatever soup, 2% light cheese, and brummel and brown instead of butter. Cheddar Chicken Ingredients: 6 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless 2 cups shredded cheddar…

Thanks for sharing. That looks very yummy.

Oh that looks good. I have a similar recipe but it calls for butter as well (I use brummel and brown) and it goes with tilapia. I'll give this one a try on both chicken and fish.

I come and go so don't feel bad about quitting and starting over. Feel free to add me.

I go in spurts. I've been back for the past 2 weeks and trying to stick with it. Feel free to add me and if you ever want a recipe from my food diary just ask. :)

I think a heart rate monitor might be more useful as a fitbit would just track your steps but not how much you are exerting yourself. You would need a cell phone app though so you can start and stop your exercise time. Not sure how that would work in the show ring but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem.

I try and get what I can through food but sometimes that is impossible. When I am doing really well I take the following vitamins/minerals: 2 capsules of fish oil 1 multivitamin (women's one a day generic) 1 Vitamin B complex 2 Calcium + Vitamin D 1 Iron (every other day) 1 D3

I agree with the others. I tried to track sugar once and the fruit put me over every time. I didn't want to give up fruit so I decided to not track sugar since I try to stay away from it otherwise. I decided to track sodium instead since I want to keep my blood pressure healthy and avoid water weight gains.

I try and stick with good carbs rather than eliminate carbs altogether. I consider good carbs to be the ones from fruits, veggies, and dairy (greek yogurt, cheese). The white carbs are the ones I try and stay away from on a day to day basis - breads, pasta, rice, etc. I should add that I'm still seeing a weight loss as…

I just used one of your codes. Thanks!

I'm going to agree with the others and suggest a better sports bra. I wear a 32HH in regular bras so I invested in Shock Absorbers and Freya Fitness bras (when I was still in their sizes). I have never had to double up since buying the right bra. As far as the price goes, I buy mine from brastop.com Even with the…

I bought the Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart Heart Rate Sensor from Amazon earlier this year. It is running about $60 right now. I like that it syncs up with most of the cardio machines at the gym and it is easy to use with my iPhone. I use the Digifit app and the Polar app to watch my heart rate and sync up with MFP and Fitbit.…

I get tired of salads as well. I've been making Quinoa salads the past couple of weeks. Quinoa, chicken, apples, craisins/raisins, walnuts/almonds, grapes, celery, red onions, cheese (some combination of those items) and serving it over 2 cups of lettuce with a little dressing. Other ideas would be to buy some…

I try and limit myself to 1 cheat meal a week. I try and limit my calories the rest of the day so that I am not completely pigging out and then I make sure to go to the gym the day before and the day after to help burn off the extra calories.
-
Wow! I have fallen into the bad habit of cardio only to burn off the extra pounds I gained on vacation but I think I better start adding in some weights.
-
I just prefer to get fat from other sources - nuts, fruits, veggies, and meat.

I've been mixing 2 parts salsa to 1 part Kraft light Ranch dressing. I've been using it on salads, baked chicken, and fish tacos. It makes a nice ranch taste but with a lot fewer calories.

I mix white and brown rice together in the storage container so we don't fight over white or brown rice. I would suggest doing the same. Also when I make a rice dish I usually eat 1/3 cup rice since rice goes a long way and supplement with a healthy side dish and main dish. I let my husband make his own plate so there is…

I love greek yogurt. My favorite texture is the Chobani brand. I'm not a fan of the Greek God's brand due to the texture. I like it with a tablespoon of honey and 2 oz of blackberries or even just plain with the honey.

I enjoy a good fuji, gala, or pink lady. All three tastes excellent with laughing cow cheese or peanut butter.
