  • L2D8 came and went! It IS getting easier, although the V raises still kill me. Welcome to the new arrivals! Show us how it's done!

  • L2D7 down!

  • I always assumed it is designed to encourage folks to eat more healthy food, but I think that's the main reason WW didn't work for me. I was a vegetarian at the time, so fruits and veggies were the largest part of my diet. Fruit packs a lot of sugar, and both fruit and veggies provide a significant source of carbs (not to…
  • Nothing, nah-uh. But I have to reign in the calories, especially pesty sugars and simple carbs. L2D6 completed though...Congrsts on your progress! I'm going to skip the scale this week because of the binge-eating during and after the picnic. Can't take it. However, we're in it for the long run, right?!?

  • Here I am! L2D5 completed. Couldn't have done it without you lol

  • Anything is better than nothing at all! I also skip days and it works for me. It just takes longer. Try to put in some mild cardio on your off days.
  • L2D4 down. It felt harder to me, too than yesterday...so proud to have finished it! This is one of those days that I would probably have skipped was it not for my accountability to this group. Yay!

  • I'm now at 1,850 cals, which is the amount I need to lose 1 lb per week plus 500 cals because I'm breastfeeding.

  • I've been going up and down 3 lbs, but most recently I lost a bit more than a pound after watching more carefully what I eat. I feel a lot better and that motivates me to keep going. L2D3 done! (edited to reflect today's exercise)

  • I direct my punches at her in the kickboxing part. It helps. But when she praises me (just me!) for having done a good job I am proud as hell.

  • Hi nrsblc, I do want to think that some tiny things have changed, but I've only now started to log and restrict my calories again, so I wasn't expecting anything drastic yet. Most folks in this challenge started 30DS in the beginning of June, so we'll have to wait for them to catch up...I skipped today because the baby…

  • Hi, I'm 3 months post partum with baby no 2 and am trying to lose the second half of the 40lbs I gained during pregnancy. I did 30DS last year and really loved the results. So here I am again, in much worse shape, but determined to make it through. I actually finished the first workout and started with the second one…
  • Hi All, I just found this group and am so happy to discover that I'm not the only one who GAINED weight post partum while breastfeeding. If another person walks up to me to tell me that the weight will "just fall off" I think I might explode. Literally. Here's my background: I have a 7 yr old and a 3 month old, and since I…
  • Thanks - this is my second baby, so I'm not entirely new to this :-) I have GAINED weight in the past 2 weeks, which really prompted me to get serious about getting back in shape. It's just not true for me that anything happens without extra effort.
  • Thanks, that's very helpful! I'll use my 6 week checkup as a starting point. That also seems to coincide with the end of "automatic" postpartum weight loss; ie when the real work begins...
  • Thanks guys! I hate that I don't get notified when someone posts here, so I missed your nice comments. Yes, our little boy was born 2/26 and all went well! Congratulations to all of you who have baby pics in their profiles ;-) Good luck for the mommas who are still due! What happens now that we have delivered? Do we take…
  • LOL that is so cute! I took a regular yoga class yesterday (obviously modifying heavily) and now I feel all wobbly. And I had to take two naps today. Aaaah there's still so much to do!
  • I was told that the baby is big at 34 weeks. Will get extra ultrasounds, but doc isn't worried, so neither am I. And I was assured that it has nothing to do with my weight gain, although diabetes would be a factor, but that was ruled out. Babies grow at different rates - as long as you're being monitored, I wouldn't stress…
