  • I agree SKConrad....... People come on and decide they are going to eat 1200 calories....if you 've been used to eating 3000 calories a day that isn't going to keep you on the wagon very long. Even if you started out at 2000 or 1800 you're going to lose...then change your goals after a few weeks and run with it for a bit…
  • Robin......... you're AMAZING! Please add me as a friend because I could really use someone like you.
  • I know how you feel.....I have a LOT of weight to lose and I don't want to have surgery to do it. I love to eat as well, but I have learned that I can eat like that 'ONCE IN A WHILE'....my eating life isn't over, it's just put on the back burner most days and weeks and saved for special events. Now I plan to have something…
  • Feel free to add me as well, I'm off and on here all day. The friends definitely help.
  • Caledon Ontario here.
  • Thank your parents for good genes. Not all of us are created with them.
  • That's why I always keep apples in the house. Sometimes I'm hungry but nothing grabs me....except the idea of junk food, so I eat an apple. It takes the edge off and I don't have to deal with guilt.
  • Hi...welcome aboard. MFP works great for logging your food and exercise, and I agree it makes all the difference in the world to how well the weight comes off. Please feel free to add me as a friend. Make your diary visiable to your friends so they we can get ideas from you...and you can see my diary as well.
  • Welcome, and congrats on the new baby. You'll find lots of supportive and motivational people here.
  • I totally agree......the bra is even worse.
  • If you click on the Food tab, then go to Settings....at the bottom you can choose who can see your Diary. I use Canada's Food Guide....not fad dieting. I eat 5 grains, 5 Fruits/Veggies, 2 Dairy and 2 Meat per day. It's healthy and you'll lose at least 1 lb per week, I have a lot to lose so it's around 2 to 2.5 per week…
  • Then you've come to the right place. Lots of support and motivations here.

  • Welcome to the site, lots of support here.
  • Frankly I think your coworker feels threatened by your accomplishment. It's her problem, not your's. Be proud!
  • Hi Mike, welcome aboard. I agree with everyone else, you need to eat more. 1100 calories isn't enough for a man. Add me as a friend if you like.
  • Anything is possible.....but it's more important that YOU think you can do this by January 2012. How serious are you?
