Hello from Key West!

Hi! My name is Kate and I just discovered this site. I've been a member of a popular weight loss program for the past 10 months and have lost almost 40 lbs so far. I've joined myfitnesspal because it's free and I am no longer able to pay for my membership to that other program (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say it's name). I've found that tracking and sticking with proper portion sizes are hugely important to loosing weight, but I've still got another 25 lbs to go! I'm from the Florida Keys, I'm 25, married and I'm a bio tech for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. I love my job! I get to explore the outdoors, help wildlife, teach kids, and I get paid time off!

    Welcome to MFP. Congrats no your amazing weight loss thus far. I love this site and as you point out, its free. Keep doing what you are doing, log in your food intake, exercise and you should be able to reach your goal in no time.
    I was just at Key West couple of weeks ago (I live in Miami). Such a beautiful place.
    Feel free to add me. I have been using this site for 7 months now and have been able to lose about 54 pounds...I have about 20 more pounds to go :-)

    Hi...welcome aboard. MFP works great for logging your food and exercise, and I agree it makes all the difference in the world to how well the weight comes off. Please feel free to add me as a friend. Make your diary visiable to your friends so they we can get ideas from you...and you can see my diary as well.
