Working...trying to sell a vehicle so I can create a paycheck for myself...working on 100% straight commission sucks!

I was bullied for being thin. The big girls in high school hated me cause I was tiny in high school. They threatened to kick my @$$ at every turn, in the bathroom, in the parking lot, on the bus, it seemed everywhere I went, there was a big girl who hated me for no reason! I didn't do anything to them and I wasn't even a…

I blame my friends and family who think I don't need to watch my weight, so when I'm around them, I tend to splurge because I'm tired of hearing them say I should gain weight cause I'm too thin and having to explain that there is a reason I am not fat and that's because I work hard to keep my body in shape cause trust me,…

I alternate...one day I watch my calories and try to scale back, another day I watch sodium and try to scale back, another day it's sugar...sometimes it's fat, sometimes carbs, and sometimes even cholesterol. It works for me...everything in moderation.

I think it's very soothing...may just well help you sleep. =)

Marie, I like it because I wished I had a simple first name as a child (like Jen or Jenny) that's easy to say and spell for children. My first name is Sheila and a lot of kids my age (around 5 at the time) had a hard time with my name, so I didn't like it and wished my first name was Marie because it was easier.

I have a hard time on weekends because I am out of my routine. I nosh on a bowl of popcorn or tortilla chips and I don't keep track of how much I am eating so I don't bother logging most of the time. Monday = Back On Track!

My problem is peer pressure. I got to work yesterday with a lunch packed that fit nicely into my food diary, when people gathered around the manager's desk said, 'The company is picking up lunch, we're ordering Chinese, come place your order!' Didn't I shove my lunch under my desk and order a big plate of Chinese?! Then…

I'm all about my hot toddy when I get out of work! ChocoVine mixed with hot water...much ike my favorite Bailey's Irish ZCream with hot chocolate, but much fewer calories. I love beer in the summer and have switched to Bud Select 55 to cut calories. I do log everything I eat and drink, when I log, but I must admit at times…

When I started, I didn't worry about the number or try to even hit a calorie goal. I just logged a normal day of eating for me and tried to trim back little by little every day until I was down to my calorie goal. Welcome! It worked for me; hope it works for you! =)

Variety, variety, variety...this morning I ate toast with peanut butter and strawberry preserves with a glass of 2% milk.

My husband has done most of the cooking throughout our 20-year relationship. I would do most of the dishes, since he did the cooking, but if I was working and he wasn't, he would do both. Now that he has a broken arm, I'm doing both. I'm not much of a cook, but I'm learning.

I think it always helps to vent. It's good that you wrote that down. Do you feel better. Where there is a will, there is a way. Keep walking/running to clear your head. Exercise is the best stress-relief. They say misery loves company, so here's the source of my stress: I just moved back to my home town, where my husband…

I think tea has great benefits and as far as I know, 3-4 cups a day is great! :)

It IS worth it! Hang in there! You are probably building muscle and replacing fat with muscle. Don't worry about the scale for a while, just stick with the program and it will work. It could also be water weight. Are you tracking your sodium? I find when I'm exercising and within my calories, I still see an extra pound or…

Stick with it, it's worked for me. I've been on for over a year, maintaining after losing more than my goal in the first 5 months. Welcome! =)

I wish I could say that I could do this on my own by now, but I can't. I've been on MFP for over a year, lost my weight within the first 5 months and have stayed on to maintain because I have to. If I don't use MFP as a guide, I will fall right back into my old eating habits. I've taken a week off to see how I do, and I…

Making my food diary public helped me to think twice about stuffing food in my face that I don't want anyone to know about. Just gotta stick to the food diary and it works. Easier said than done, I know, but "what we eat in private, we wear in public."

I don't know about the 30 day shred, but I have noticed that a 20-year-old or so MFP burns more calories walking at the same speed as me for fewer minutes. My 40th birthday is next month, so I figure that's the way it is when you get old. =>.

How do you log it?

I count tea as water. There are generally no calories in tea, as I don't add cream or sugar, so it's just herbs soaking in water.
