So, I usually drink about 3-4 mugs of white tea (with no sugar) per day... is this too much?
Is there any problems with drinking a lot of tea?

Thanks :)

Not at all, only the milk you put in it, but you have so little that's no issue either and you don't take sugar, caffeine is not good but again there's not a lot in it, and you can ger de-caf tea, so al is well on the tea front. It is true however, that green tea is very good for you, so if it's not green you could give that a go and reap the health benefits, fruit/herbal teas are also very beneficial, but I really don't see you have a problem. :)

I think tea has great benefits and as far as I know, 3-4 cups a day is great! :)

I don't know anything about white tea, but I know green tea is amazing for you! I've just started drinking it the past couple weeks, and I drink about 3-6 cups a day, depending on whether I work or not. Definitely helps keep me from feeling hungry, and keeps me full of antioxidants! (and caffeine.)
  • ALL THE TEA.
It is OK to drink ALL the tea. Green, white, Oolong, Puerh, black; it's all wonderful, just watch the milk.

Because tea is the most awesome thing on earth. I get through pints of it, I'd rather have electrodes attached to my genitals and be flogged senseless with a knotted rope than go without tea.

I usually go through 3-4 mugs of green tea with a packet of Equal a day at work. Much less on a day off. I usually have a mug of Aveda comforting tea when I get home. I don't like milk in my tea, so I've got that one covered too.

~Sadlazarus, I LOVED your comment! I almost snorkled my one cup of coffee all over my laptop. :-)

Tea is wonderful and full of lots of good things. Research has said that if its what you normally drink it can be counted as part of your water intake as your body is used to the caffeine intake.

I drink quite a lot of it with no sugar and a small amount of skimmed milk - logging a certain amount of milk each day to cover it and what I have on my cereal.

Drink away; its good for you.
  • I love white tea. Green tea is my second favorite. If I put anything in my tea its Splenda. If you aren't putting anything in it that has calories I'd count it as water.

LOL... wow, you REALLY like your tea!

The difference between white/green/oolong/black tea is in the processing. The white is the least processed and has the least amount of caffeine-- black has the most. It all comes from the same plant-- I've heard before that the reason you hear so much about green tea (as opposed to some of the others) is because it's what the majority of studies have been performed on. I dont have any research to back this up but it's an interesting thought for those of us who prefer black. All of it is full of great antioxidants. When you switch over to herbals/tisanes/rooibos tea, it no longer comes from the same plant so it is going to have a different chemical make-up. It usually still has good stuff to offer, just not necessarily the same.
Regardless, it doesn't have the calories unless you add stuff to it. The only reason it may be a problem for you is if you suffer from acid reflux or some medical condition that it exacerbates. If you're not noticing any negative side-effects, keep drinking! There's all kinds of flavors out there!
  • I believe you can drink as much tea as you like. It's a lot healthier than drinking caloric drinks, especially if you take your tea black. I drink quite a few cups a day. My only concern is the acid possibly staining my teeth. Besides that, drink up! Tea has a lot of health benefits.

I only limit my tea when I'm drinking so much I'm waking up every couple of hours to pee. True story.
