  • I'm having the same issue. Really peeved because it took Body Media 5 weeks to deliver my arm band and then it only worked properly for about two weeks... Not as helpful to me if this part isn't syncing. Can anyone say if this is a MFP issue or a BM issue? Not sure who to ask for help!
  • Sierracanbe, Sometimes it seems impossible, but changing your point of view is all about CHOOSING to have a better day. One day you will wake up and say, today I will choose to be..... • Nothing is wrong with you. I think most everyone has been there. My best suggestion, pick one SMALL thing each day to challenge yourself. The next day add one more small thing to the first. It takes all those small daily choices to make a big life difference, and it's a lot easier than trying to do it all at once. Small…
  • Thanks for the congrats guys! RE: Happy anniversary...did you lose that last ls by just logging food or you worked out too? i have those last 10 lbs to go which seem to be so tough... I don't have time to exercise, I'm working 14-18 hour days :drinker: , so I only managed calories. You are well on your way to your goal…

  • My last breakup was over eleven years ago, but my reaction changed my life and created the opportunity for my current relationship to happen. This my experience and suggestion, I hope it helps. First, accept that the break-up is not necessarily anyone's fault. Two people can care about each other, and still not work. Try…
  • I have been where you are, recently. I wore myself out trying to find solutions to a problem that was mostly a result of crappy economy. I became irritable, and felt hopeless. Every suggestion made to me I replied with an "I tried", "I can't", "Nope, not working" response. The truth was that I eventually realized that no…
  • You noticed! Please do not discount your own value for what you are doing. You are the one that counts. Also, maybe they did, but didn't want to say anything.... Sometimes people are afraid to say something because it might come off as overstepping boundaries. Or sometimes people may think you look great without loosing…
  • Hey Punkadore, I've only been using MFP for a little over a month now I think, so I'm pretty new. Good for you for continuing to try. That really is what it is all about I think. I'm also 33, not kids but maybe in a few years. I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted, then I turned 25. I was still able to eat pretty much…
  • Thanks for the prompt replies all. Yes, the fats have it! I'm at about half of what is suggested. I know nuts and fish are good fats, and avocado... Any other suggestions?
  • I'm also a long day person. Up before 6 bed around midnight. I have a bowl of instant oatmeal and an activia yogurt for breakfast every day. Then I aim for about 300 calories every 3-4 hours after. I try not to eat within 5 hours before going to bed, but if I'm hungry I will eat something reasonable, otherwise I binge the…
  • Although some debate it, I have several nutritional texts that equate extra low calorie intake (say under 1200/day) with increase in cortisol in the body. Increases in cortisol come from stress of many varieties, and tell the body to conserve as much energy (calories) as possible. This can often lead to weight gain, or at…
  • Try adding a banana for energy, it's higher than an apple in B6, so it will give you more of a boost. Look for other foods that boost your B vitamins for lunch or afternoon snack as well. Stick with it. No glorious victory ever came easy :)
