  • pants are an important part of my routine IF i'm leaving the house. lol i work from home, so when i don't have to leave, all bets are off. BUT - i do feel better after a shower and stuff. for me it's brush teeth, hair BRUSHED (not necessarily done up), and face washed. if it's someplace classy, then, blush, and eyeshadow…
  • i added you both if that's ok... i'm in the same boat. ;)
  • ha ha, just did a search, am looking for feedback too. :) find anything IRL? (ie off the forum here?)
  • Hey everyone! Finally got a chance to come in here and introduce myself. I haven't had a chance on a computer since I got the group invite (my laptop died ;P) and I hate that I can't get on the community via the app.... With 3 boys (5, 3 and 1) I LIVE on my phone. ;) In fact, today was the first time I've logged into the…

  • I'm just going to reply to this now, because I want to come back later and chime in! I have one helluva cold right now, and it's 11.22pm, and I NEED to get to bed, but I SO need this! LOL I'm 11.5 mos PP with baby #3, and have almost all of my baby weight still to lose. Am looking forward to joining the fray! :) I'll…
  • I personally love WW. I love the philosophy, I love that they don't calorie count so much (points take into effect your fibre ratio to fat and calories, a much more "big picture" view than just calories, and far FAR more holistic), and I also love the face-to-face support. My mum and I went, a couple of different times,…
  • It is an amazing tool, isn't it? Don't worry about being over for vit c, that's not a bad thing. You'll just pee it out. ;) C is one of the vits that are ok to go over. Welcome to mfp! :)

  • I wrote about the "kids stress me, i'm hungry" hungry here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/dinnae/view/emotional-eating-156609 LOL ;)
  • YAY!!!! congratulations, that must feel SOOOOOO AWESOME! :) :) :) btw, I'm fairly new on mfp boards... and i feel like a goose, but what's NSV? LOL
  • kendelq, I'd probably go with 1400 (bare minimum, non nursing), and add back in the 300 = 1700. If you have some days below, great, if you have some days over, provided they're not HUGE over, that should be ok too. But then, you are lighter than I am, so if you feel you could get away with 1600, go for it. And take into…
  • First of all, I don't even pay attention to NET calories, only my food calories. And, that said, I did NOT go with what MFP suggested for my calories, I manually adjusted it. (It wanted me on 1000 calories a day, and that's just insane.) And, I'm going to second what Misty and ajbeans said. I've tried low cal diets before…
  • first of all - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Yay! how EXCITING for you! :) :) I gain a LOT when i`m pregnant (over 60 lbs for pregnancy 3 O_o), so I know how you feel. I know that when I talked to my dr, his recommendation was to walk. Lots and lots of walking. And that helps with swelling too at the end of the pregnancy. I also…
  • And ditto what she said - been there done that. i did the south beach diet while nursing my 2nd, and oh gravy my supply plummeted... oatmeal is one of the BEST things you can have every morning, for nursing AND for energy and feeling fuller longer.
  • http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mom/mom-weightloss.html 1500 - 1800 per day is what kellymom.com recommends, but like asoune said, that is not counting exercising. breastfeeding your baby burns 200-500 calories per day. I`m a member of the FIRM believers club, and their nutrition recommendations include your weight x 10 is…
  • it depends if you are having instant oatmeal packs (like the quaker kind) or homecooked oatmeal.... oatmeal is very high in fibre, and those fibre calories are so very good for you. oatmeal keeps you full longer, is good for your brain... i would NEVER give up my oatmeal! on the days when i don`t have oatmeal, i end up…
  • i track calories, fat, protein and fibre. i like to have my fibre high, so i try and watch that especially.... fibre is so important!
  • TOTALLY AGREE! Your body goes into starvation mode, and then you won't lose much either! MAKE yourself eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. EVEN IF YOU DON'T FEEL HUNGRY. You will lose more, faster, than if you starve yourself. Been there done that. ;)
  • This was my EXACT issue. I have 3 little ones, and my only time to exercise is when the youngest is napping... and in that time, I have to do laundry, clean the house, exercise, make dinner AND fit in quality time with my middle child on his own... basically fit 8 hours of work into 2, 1 hour naps. O_o I ordered the FIRM…
  • Yeah, I had dinner there the other night, the Mesa Chicken Salad... 1000 calories!!! But, the way I look at it, there was LOTS of fibre in it (lettuce, veg, beans), dairy (cheese), and grilled chicken. And, even WITH that "binge"... I still lost .8kg (almost 2 lbs) since my last weigh in, and I attribute that to all the…
