It's great that you're getting used to them now! I think I'll also switch out to better socks, I've been using thick cotton socks as well. By the way, how many sizes bigger did you buy your Free Runs?

But I'm still wondering if this toe pain will go away or not. The shoe is already half a size big, and it is wide enough as well. My nails are also short.

Thanks for all the advice! Before the 5k, I ran in minimalistic shoes for short distances (only about 1-2 miles) and had no problem with arch support, but running a 5k may have been too much to start off with all of a sudden. I will definitely work my way up :)

Thanks for help - I think the soreness has to do with the fact that they are indeed minimalistic running shoes. Should I just keep running/walking in them every few days to get used to them and develop muscle...?

I had a plateau having about 1400 cals a day, but then I increased my calorie intake to about 1800 keeping the same workout schedule and lost weight. Then after about I week of doing this, I went down to 1600 cals and burned about 300 more cals a day (did this for a week). That took care of the plateau!

I bought them last year and do the DVDs several times a week!! They are probably the best workout DVDs I've ever purchased. Definitely buy them. You WILL get results!
