I think this argument has a true and false side. If you have a fair amount of weight to lose, say 30lbs or more, the greater deficit you can have without suffering from "starvation mode" because you HAVE the fat to burn. Definitely not anemia or thyroid related. All my levels have always been bang on. I think its more likely heavy lifting on a calorie restricted diet (with higher levels of protein to maintain muscle gain). Its draininggggg!!!
