  • Sorry I should have thought to search :( Just seems crazy amount in a single day, but I guess it is what it is! I do tend to eat comparatively high carbs versus some (though obviously still an overall calorie deficit) as I run quite a lot so tend to eat carbs the night before a run.
  • I just wanted to say thank you for posting this OP, and also thanks for all the replies. I do think it is so, so easy to misjudge/ lie to yourself. I have lost all my weight before but regained it and am trying again. Reading all this is a really good reminder. I ate well for 3 weeks and then binged for 4 days and put the…
  • I agree eggs are a regular for me, though I usually have poached with some salad bits (peppers, cucumber, radishes etc) I allow myself to sprinkle some salt on as my "treat" and they taste yu, (and I have never yet gone over on sodium as most of my diet is v low sodium. Other things I often eat are avocado (and salad or a…
  • 1) go running 2) not eat anything after 8 pm 3) have nothing but sugar free jelly or fruit for pudding after dinner
  • I'm the same :-( After each of my 3 babies I have got down to goal, twice using MFP. I had pretty severe mental health problems the last 3 years and have steadily gained...and gained. I now haven't been this fat since I was in Maternity clothes and have had to buy jeans and a skirt a size up :( I am trying to be positive…
  • No idea. But I am not keen on any form of fat B)
  • That is absolutely amazing. Next time you look in the mirror, try to really see yourself and feel as proud of your accomplishment as you should xxx :drinker:
  • That's amazing! I started running 2 months ago too, I'm nowhere near as fast though, I still take just over an hour to do 10 k! :blushing:  Am training for a half marathon on 10 Nov though!
  • Honestly, I got rid of all mine and really regretted it. You just don't know what will happen - I fell down the stairs and had a head injury and regained nearly 30 lbs in total being immobilised on my back. I will get rid of the majority once I've finished losing it (again) but I will def keep just a couple of pairs…
  • As others have said, I live in Europe and the vast majority of cars over here are manual ('stick shift') Only once driven an automatic - in the States of course!
  • Just wanted to say thank you for posting this, as what you describe is PRECISELY what I have been like for the last few months and it is making any loss so so slow and frustrating me beyond reason!! I'm thinking cutting myself off completely is the only way and then go back to trying to eat in moderation. ATM, I really…
  • I am liking the answer of basically 'be normal'  I will definitely start there and just try to eat healthily, but I think I do need to change how I eat going forwards as its not really been working for me for some months now, and I don't really know how to start!
  • I ran my PB at both 5k and 10k today - just under 32 mins for 5k and 1hr4 min for 10k :drinker: Now I know I can do the distance I need to try and up the pace!

  •   - that really made me laugh! I went out running with my running buddy today who is a fair bit better than me and managed a full 5.5 miles in just under an hour - woo hoo!!!
  • Yesterday - 20454 (includes a run and lots of school runs!) Today will be tough, I'm not deliberately going anywhere or doing any additional exercise so I think it will be very low. Thanks for the info on the bike ride lamlam. I wear mine I guess because I allow my fitbit to make negative calorie adjustments, so if I…
  • Thanks for the welcome :drinker: lamlam - do you wear your fitbit when you cycle? I'm only asking as although its much much lower, when I cycle my fitbit does register a fe thousand steps in say an hour long ride? Yesterday I did 16846 (2 walks to church in back - the morning service I was doing creche so went back pm to…
  • Hi I'm new! I'm trying to go straight from couch to 10k (I last ran about 4 years ago). I am doing 2 parts of C25K back to back - I did week 6 run 3 and week 6 run 2 back to back on Fri and it was exhausting!!! so, 25 min run, 5 min walk, 10 min run, 3 min walk, 10 run
  • cool - thanks I did a search but couldn't find anything!

  • Bump - will be joining as I have a fitbit and find it very motivating, this way I can find the thread later!!
  • Thanks :flowers: I have bought a fit it one to try and encourage me to take more exercise as part of normal day to day life. I need to get more variety back into my eating, but I did lose 2 lbs in the first week, here is to the rest of the journey!!! :drinker:
  • helyg I think your kids must be a little older, my oldest is 6and although he can just about swim you aren't allowed to leave them unsupervised until they are at least 8. My other 2 are 4 and 20 months!! I already get up at 6 am for work, its why I'm so reluctant to get up any earlier!! IThanks so much for the tip off…
  • How heavy would you get a beginner's kettlebell for? If I could get a decent workout in 15 mins I'd be prepared to get up that amount earlier tbh. Where do you get adjustable ones, I've googled but can't see any adjustable ones???
  • Just before I actually workout, especially on an off day. I always seem to prevaricate, taking ages to put on my shoes etc when if I just GOT ON WITH IT it would be over with sooner!!
  • I agree look at the variety of what you are eating as well as how many cals etc. Each time I have hit a plateau I have found switching stuff around has worked to 'jump start' my sytem again. I have to be honest with you and say I've been (attempting to) maintain for nearly a year now, and they are also shockingly easy to…
