Are you wondering for a specific distance? Or just a straight out mile?

message me and I'll send you some stuff later

I would rather wear spandex than jeans. I have too many workout shirts. And I have enough sports bras to last 2 weeks (and I double bag it). Hi. I am Tobie. And I love my wardrobe but never get to wear it.

My suggestion was to look at research...i don't understand how you got that I'd kill someone with that

And that had been my original point earlier on. Read the scholarly journal articles. Talk to people who are in the field. I am a sport and exercise psychology consultant and can work with people who are trying to lose weight. What advice would I be able to give them on weight loss? The rudimentary things that I know (which…

So ps... ever since the kindle and nook and those kind of "books" have come out, the largest growing kind of literature and most read literature is romance (I think erotic fiction probably fits in here too)... Thought you would find it interesting. So these books aren't erotic fiction but they are romance...have you read…

I vaguely recall the same...but that was the same thing that happened to me with 50 Shades...I just said meh and kept reading so I could say I did...honestly, I don't think I understood parts of it even lol...it was SOO out there

The show that I would want to watch would be exercise physiologists and nutritionists and other people who have gone to school for a long time argue about things like this. This is where MFP could be so much better. Get some of those people and have EXPERTS giving advice on this kind of stuff. I am in the exercise science…

Yup. And it wasn't hidden in the book section. It was out on display. I mean, I'm all for sexuality and stuff and was a women's minor in college and in the Vagina Monologues 3 times at school... those books still made me blush.

Target is now selling Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy. The cover said, "if you liked 50 shades"...or something like that. THESE BOOKS ARE NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. Oh. My. Goodness. I told my mother that if Florida tried to ban those, I wouldn't make a stink (they wanted to ban 50 Shades from libraries). Anyway, Anne…

This is why when anorexics are in rehab to gain weight back, they need to do it slower because when they up the calories many will sometimes LOSE MORE WEIGHT. Did anyone look at who the writers of the article were? Weight Watchers Research. I would like to see this not in a Weight Watchers magazine but in a peer reviewed…

What kinds of food? Maybe you need a bit more protein? Or almonds or other nuts or something? If it is bothering you this much and you have a doctor you like and trust I would ask them

sauteed spinach...all you need is some garlic a tiny bit of EVOO and lots of spinach :) then some garlic salt and pepper of course I always liked Popeye and Olive Oyl :)

There are times when I do double or triple workouts because of my job and my athletic lifestyle...There is no way I can eat back all of those calories in one day...and the next day I am normally craving a bit more so have no regrets eating a bit more than usual. It's whatever works best for the person :)

What I am interested in is did MFP give you 1300 cal per day as a goal or was that yours? I would look towards your BMR instead and see if there is a difference. If not, are you drinking enough water? Are you overdoing the exercise? What kind of job do you have, one where you are active or a desk job? Could this also be…

Cardio and Diet are the best things for Abs. I would maybe up the cardio a bit more and add some ab exercises. A few good lower ab ones are something I call pulses they are mini crunches and instead of having your knees bent, they are in Indian style (sorry I don't know the PC term). You only lift a tiny bit off the ground…

No prob :)

My biggest piece of advice would be to plan, plan, plan. Plan what you will eat for the day (with some wiggle room) and stick to it. This is all about control. You want to have control over food or yourself? You have already taken a step towards healthy because you understand it and you see it. We all have some sort of…

People in the exercise science field HATE those charts. You are absolutely correct. It does not take many things into account. BMI (body mass index) is just a ratio of height and weight. What you want to look at is Body Fat percentage. I would advise you to get a skinfold test. This will be a much better idea of how…

http://www.everydayhealth.com/Calories-Burned-Yoga.htm I had been using this when I was doing Bikram. (I stopped going because I think the people who run the one by me make me angry and so I get super aggravated and aggressive and mad when I leave)

Bed of lettuce. Grilled chicken. Mozarella cheese. Tomato. Fresh Basil. Balsamic Vinagrette. Perfect summer time meal

I pretty much have the same breakfast (yogurt, kashi, and strawberry or blueberry; coffee), snack (almonds), and some variation of a salad for lunch It just makes it easier for me to figure out what I need to eat and takes some of the thinking out of it :)

I was watching the divers at the gym yesterday...those guys are super fit! and super flexible! I didn't get to see the women does anyone know if there are ways of watching London on your phone? I'll be working where there is no internet access or television :(
-
I will either hard boil eggs on Sunday nights and have 2 for breakfast...or I have yogurt, granola, and either blueberry or strawberry both are quick and easy :)

No one loves USA Track and Field :(

What is better, eating 1200 'standard' calories, or going by your BMR? Is it better to do one big workout or should we do doubles? Are those shreds really worth it? Is the hype over those CD fitness programs worth it?

At 13, her body needs different things than yours does...I'm not saying I know exactly what that is, but I'm assuming maybe more calories and more vitamin rich and healthier foods...no matter what, don't let her get discouraged...make her realize that you've been there before with her and you think she's doing good...try…

yeah...its super hard with lack of support at home...something that i've learned through Al Anon (AA for family) is that you need to be a bit selfish for yourself...do things that you want and honestly don't stress...you're gunna do fine :)

me too...and i read it in a jersey accent...is that bad?

I upped my caloric intake and have been losing...its weird to think that to eat more you can burn more, but its true...if you are doing so much, maybe its not just the calories but the timing. Try to eat more at breakfast and throughout the day
