  • Have you tried barre type workouts? I have read of women who slim down quite well with it. You don't need a barre either. A chair or window ledge work. Pure Barre Pershing Square 1 and 2 are good ones. I really like Squeeze also. It uses light hand weights but they are not required.

  • Thanks for responding- I have been doing this for 2 weeks steadily- 2 months with a few slip ups before that. I had lost 5 lbs, kept of 3. I was just wondering if it is worth it. How long have you been doing it?

  • Hi- I am almost 44 and I have been doing body pump 3X per week since the end of May. Since I have quite a bot of weight to lose I don't see a lot of defintion but I can feel it in my arms, legs, shoulders etc. So yes you can build muscle. I've also lost about 18lbs.   • My sister has been working with a trainer. He said that when choosing a protein bar to make sure the grams of protein are higher than the grams of fat. That said some of the ones that don't match that description are still not bad as a snack. I like Luna bars, Clif bars, and some of the Kashi bars.
  • Try Diet Rite- It has no sodium. I love the diet cherry cola!
  • Does your gym have body pump classes? That's what I do and I love it. You can also get a weight lifting book. Joyce Vedral had a good one.
  • Charter cable has the same On Demand feature that comcast does. Its nice.
