  • Do anyone do these videos with a heart rate monitor? About how many calories do you burn doing it?

  • I checked the elevation of Chicago vs. Scottsdale. Chicago, IL is about 568 ft. and Scottsdale, AZ is 1,250 ft. So I guess it wasn't the climate that affected my heart rate, it was the elevation.
  • There is a recipe for these in one of the Hungry Girl cookbooks and it is only 93 calories. Someone should have put a warning before clicking the link that you shouldn't eat before looking at it. I had just eaten breakfast, and now I'm sick to my stomach.
  • I have this recipe if you would like me to post it.
  • There is no charge. It is all free. Maybe she typed in the wrong web address.
  • It's great to find meals under 500 calories, but did you see the amount of sodium in those meals...through the roof.
  • So what is a reasonable amount of sodium a person on 1400 calories should have? Also, I am finding it hard to keep my sodium down. Any suggestions? I add salt to a lot of things, what is a good substitute?

  • There is a recipe for this in the Hungry Girl 200 under 200 cookbook. Using Fiber One Original Cereal all ground up. There is also one for mozzarella sticks.
  • I love the Strawberry Shortcake ice cream sandwiches. The mint ones are really good too.
  • My measuring cups and spoons are my best friends. I measure everything out. You can pretty much eat anything (within reason), as long as you measure it out to 1 serving. It is all about portion sizes. For example: the spaghetti you had a serving is 2 oz (1 cup cooked) and then you can measure the sauce depending what the…
  • I wonder if you could put the bread pieces in mini muffin pans to make it easier for portion control.
  • I wonder if you could do this with a 100 calorie English muffin. Then the calories wouldn't be that bad.
  • I made them for a last day of school pot-luck. So I wanted to go the extra mile and hollow them out and make them look pretty. I am with you though, it is a lot of work and if I was enjoying them myself I definitely would not hollow them out.
  • My strawberries must have been really big because I had to make double the filling to fill all 44 strawberries.
  • You could take them to a resale shop...and then if they end up selling you could eventually make some money on them. Then go buy new stuff.
  • Welcome. This site is a life saver. I'm from Chicago too and lived in Vegas for 5 years. We moved back to the Chicagoland area 2 years ago.

  • I made this last night too. I shredded the chicken and figured out that it was six 1/2 cup servings. I ate it on a tortilla with some reduced fat shredded mexican cheese and some chopped onion. It was delicious and my lunch for today.
  • Can anyone tell me how much is in a serving if I shred the chicken (1/2 cup, 1 cup, etc)? Thanks
  • 1 cup cooked
  • You could spray them with cooking spray. I've done it where I spray them with cooking spray and then sprinkle some cinnamon and splenda (instead of cinnamon and sugar) on them. Delicious!
  • I use the 100 calorie English muffins. I put some spray butter on them with garlic powder and some parmasan cheese. Bake the for 5 mins. on about 425 degrees.
  • I was wondering: if I buy 80/20 ground beef instead of the leaner stuff, and after I brown it I drain it and rinse it, will it be just as lean as the other stuff? I am on a budget and the 80/20 ground beef is so much cheaper.

  • That must feel great! Keep up the great work.
  • Has anyone heard of that new show starting called Cooking Yourself Thin? I saw a commercial for it the other day. I think it premiers on Monday on Lifetime. It is on here at 4:00 p.m (I am in Central Time Zone). It is supposed to be a cooking show, but they show you how to cook things with less calories and fat. It seems…
  • Thanks again for all the support. It is so nice to know that I'm not alone in all this. That definitely helps with the motivation.

  • I finally broke the 190 mark. I hit 189 today. My goal was 190 by the end of March, but that didn't happen. I am so proud of myself for not giving up when I didn't reach my goal. It took me 2 months to lose 10 pounds, but no matter how long it took I still lost it. Now I begin my next goal. Everyone on here is great!…

  • This was a great challenge. Definitely gave me a reason to use my Wii Fit, especially because my son is sick and I couldn't get out to workout.
