Damn nice. I'm 6'4 long term goal to be in that 220-240 range but lean. nice work.

For me I'm going to finish dieting off this fat. I'm sitting at 207, I thought 200 was going to do it but it's looking closer to 190-195. After that probably a few weeks at maintenance and then a very slow bulking phase of around .5 lb a week.

How tall are you?

Thanks for the response.

Do you remember this thread? Life probably got busy as it always does but I was still curious your thoughts on the subject if you have time. you can reply here since if you like since that thread is no longer active. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10473331/obesity-are-you-just-lazy-and-dumb#latest

If I ever eat some I'll let you know what I decided.

Don't eat meat or anything derived from an animal. That's all i got.

My opinion on set point theory is all it does is create an artificial mental barrier about what you can acheive
-
Personally, I would start by not changing your diet immediately but just changing your intake. Mentally speaking, there is a world of difference in 'caving' on your diet and eating a tub of ice cream in shame and eating the pre planned portioned amount. Just like the beer i'm going to drink this weekend used to be seen as…

I have my goal set to lose 1 lb per week at sedentary activity level and I eat back my exercise calories. Losing weight just fine you just have to be honest with yourself and make adjustments if the scale is not moving in the right direction after 3 or 4 weeks.

They have their place but they are for a very small population. Definitely not for me. They took a mental toll and I rebounded hard. If you have emotional eating issue or you aren't experienced with systematically controlling your body weight with calorie counting and reverse dieting then I wouldn't recommend it.

1 lb per week. I started in January and I'm down about 40 lbs. Its been so easy being able to eat all the foodz and still make progress every week.
-
I definitely used it to gain weight. Its very effective. :)
-
Before eating back calories of course. And gosh darnit why am I not losing weight? Must be toning.

News Report: Getting sedentary office job reduces grocery bill, study says.

My advice, after years of miserable failure and regression, I would suggest the following approach if you are trying to lose weight over the holidays. - Your goal is fluid, to be somewhere between maintenance and your deficit goal. So taking a 1 lb per week goal (3500 calories), if you have an office party and you overreat…

Give some time to do Keto for a month and let me go ham and I can probably get a 15'er

Because I'm a tried and true American, I spend my calories before hand and pay back the man afterwards.

Nothing will make your legs bulky while you are losing weight. I swear. Lift weights, do spin classes, run, sprint. Your legs will not get bulky and as your weight goes down you will fall more and more in love with your legs. Unfortunately our bodies are all different and the weight comes off where it comes off. I'm…

I would not worry about it too much. Have you ever been in a pet store and looking at puppies and one gets bored and just starts clawing at another's face for no reason and a wrestling match breaks out? Same thing here.
-
Very little IMO. I track calories mostly. I am vaguely aware of my protein and aim to get as much in as is sustainable but I don't stress out about it.
-
Eating too much and sitting on my butt all day
-
I've started getting this recently. I just smile and nod and move along.
-
Yes. Just keep progressing on your lifts. Volume and progressive overload combined with your caloric surplus will drive the hypertrophy.

Holy Hell internet how is there not a gif of Pam throwing the Tiramisu Jim gives her into garbage? How!?
-
The only thing it really took for me was accurately logging a few binges. Being able to see how much I was eating really put it into perspective. I'll still overeat but I log it and it doesn't get out of control.
-
How long have you been consistently eating 1800 calories. What has your average weight loss been?
-
These kind of dilemmas are why only track my calorie and protein intake. Everything else just seemed like excess data that was not going to effect my results in any meaningful way.
-
On average how many are you getting a day?
-
Agreed 100%. I believe the leangains creator started with pure intentions but he kind of went off the rails when he started making all of the additional claims he did about metabolic superiority.
