I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

This sounds just like me. I was at 211 and for whatever reason quit logging my food and gained about 17lbs back over 7-8 months. The good news is I think I have learned a lesson from not logging and know that I need to log even if I go over my calories. We can do this!
-
I went down 3 lbs down to 223. Only 23 more to go to onederland!
-
Today or more like yesterday I logged all my calories even if it meant going over my calorie allotment. That's a huge change for me as normally I would just give up and not log at all.

Weight loss is not linear. Your body just might be adjusting to your running routine. It sounds like you are still seeing progress through reduced measurements just not on the scale yet. And since you are so close to goal your weight loss will slow down. And make sure you're fueling your body for the running.

Today marked one week of faithfully logging my food. And only two days of being over but just by a few calories.

For my first day I dug my rebounder out of the corner and remembered how much I enjoy bouncing to get a little extra "burn" at the end of my workout. I hope to make a habit of it...again. :) And I was also under my calorie goal and more importantly I logged everything I ate. I know if I log my food I can succeed.

Starting weight: 226 Goal weight: 199.9 (onederland) Ultimate goal weight: 175 for now

Today I officially joined this group and filled out the spreadsheet with my info. I'm so excited to be in this group challenge. Now it's time to get a workout in to get closer to my goal of onederland by Christmas.

Greetings! I'm Mary and I've been on MFP for over a year. I was faithfully logging until February of this year and I quit logging my food. I'm not even sure why I quit. I gained about 15 lbs or so back from my previous loss. I started tracking my food again this week and so far so good. My goal is to be under 200lbs by…

I'm 46 and friend request sent. I mostly workout at home and love step aerobics and lifting weights.
-
I love my workout videos. I log them as a generic "Polar HRM" and then put the title of whatever video I did in the exercise notes.

I don't have it totaled up by weeks in my office. But the calendar in my kitchen shows a total of 152.7 miles for August. The last 14 miles were put on with a stationary bike. I hit my goal of at least 150 miles. Unfortunately the sun is setting sooner so I'm going to have to find another way of getting in my evening…

I'm a mom to only two boys, but they keep me busy. So busy that I haven't taken time for myself and the weight has piled on. Now that the oldest is driving, I do have some free time to focus on me. I have sent a friend request.

It's a tough journey that needs supportive and motivating friends. Friend request sent.

Friend request sent! I have lost 30+ lbs with another 54 lbs to go. I've been faithfully logging in for the last 45 days and have made great progress. It's like I just woke up and had enough of being overweight and tired all the time. Anyone else please feel free to add for support & motivation.
-
Welcome aboard. I too have been overweight most of my life. I'm finally getting serious about losing weight this time and would love to be your friend.

Well I was out of town this weekend and had hoped the hotel would have an exercise bike. Of course no bike, but there were 2 elliptical machines and one treadmill. I found out that I really enjoy using an elliptical. So far I have no bike riding miles this week. That should change by tomorrow evening!

I got a few more miles in week 2 than in week 1. I had some great rides on Saturday and Sunday. The sun is starting to set sooner, so it will be tougher to get longer rides in during the week. Week 1 - 42.8 miles Week 2 - 51.9 miles Total: 94.7/150
-
Thanks for the input. I'm slowly building my endurance back to take longer rides (for me) as I managed to go 15 miles on both Saturday and Sunday. Forgot to post my rides: I did 30 miles over the weekend and 8.3 miles tonight as I got a late start.

I may not post daily, but this challenge is motivating me to ride even when I don't want to. My motto is something is better than nothing as witnessed by my Friday ride. 8/8 6.8 miles 8/9 15 miles (my farthest ride this year) To all those folks that bike long distances what do you eat during the ride to keep your energy up…

I'm a little late with my results, but I did get some biking in. My total for week 1 is 42.8 miles. 107.2 miles left. 8/1 0 8/2 13.1 8/3 11 8/4 0 8/5 7.5 8/6 11 8/7 0

I'm 46 and trying to drop many pounds. It is a lot tougher now then in my 20s, but I think with the help of the MFP community I can do this and stick with it even if it takes a long time. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's more of a marathon than a sprint on my weight loss journey. I've been consistently…

I don't even know what I weighed at my highest weight, but if I had to guess it was probably in the 270's. When I first logged on to MFP in 2011 I was about 265 or so and didn't even try to use these forums or friendships. I've been overweight most of my adult life. What can I say but I love to eat. The part that really…

I got back on my bike today, but stayed away from the bike path. I thought I would take my chances with traffic and I wore my neon green shirt. No dogs for me today! I managed to get in 7.5 miles today. Nothing for yesterday as it was raining. Stay safe everyone.
-
I managed to get some miles in this weekend. I even took a spill yesterday due to some clueless dog walkers using 15ft leads for their dogs. Fortunately there was no serious harm done to either me or my bike. 8/1 - 0 miles 8/2 - 13.3 miles 8/3 - 11 miles Goal 150 miles

I'm in. It sounds like something to keep me motivated.

I'm trying to keep my net carbs at 100g, but I've only restarted MFP in the past couple weeks so that will probably be adjusted depending on how my weight loss is going. I don't think I'm mentally ready to go under 50g yet, but who knows. Right now I'm just trying to keep most of the refined carbs out of my diet and I'm…

Greetings from northern Illinois, just a few miles from the Wisconsin border. My name is Mary and I love riding my bike. I've been biking for fitness on and off over the last 20+ years. Before I had my sons I was able to bike 15-20 miles daily with no problem. I even had a trailer that I would pull behind my bike when they…

I'd love to join. I'll set my goal at 150 miles.
