It looks like I’m not the only one not liking the change. It is extremely slow to respond to anything, too many steps to post an update and took me multiple steps to just find it, too many steps to even just add food and exercise. I know I’m using the free version and not premium, but this new update made it barely usable!

I hate the update. It is moving so slow on my iPhone. I had to go to my profile and then my newsfeed and at bottom of screen there was a box to write. Too many steps to do a status update and too many steps and super slow to add food and exercise. And did I say how slow it is? Super slow.

Welcome to MFP! I'm 48 (49 next month) and have lost 100lbs. Working on another 20-30 and then I move to maintaining the weight loss. I'm not on the boards much, but I log every day. Feel free to friend me and I'll help cheer you on :) One thing I have never done on this journey is deprive myself. Everything in moderation.…

Hey, deludedandsen, GOOD LUCK to you! Personally, anyone who goes in to losing a large amount of weight and does not expect loose skin is deluding themselves. If it doesn't happen is a bonus to your weight loss. Mine's not as bad as hers, but it's there and I don't like it, but I can live with it if I have to. I won't go…

I have lost 100lbs over the course of 2 years--1-2lbs/wk. I worked out and ate properly doing it, nothing drastic. In the beginning I just walked, then I started adding crunches and other ab work and 6lb weights for my arms. As my fitness level improved, I would "boost" my walking by increasing the speed. Then that became…

Pretty much the same here with modification--instead of regular chips, I'll get Pirate's Booty or mini rice cakes or these really spicy (but yummy) chips that I can only eat 2-3 of  ; lower cal ice cream (like Edy's/Dryer's slow churned), lower cal/homemade baked goods. What I gave up completely was the fast food…

I'm a huge fan of Leslie Sansone's walking DVDs. She just came out with some new ones that are higher intensity. I think the DVD recommendations will depend on the fitness level/impact level you are looking for.

Wowza! you got a lot of great advice here. Most definitely agree with setting smaller goals that seem more attainable. I have lost 91 (and a half!) lbs with my eyes set at 100. Then I'll shoot for the last 30 (don't know if I'll do the full 30, but I'll give it a go). My first goal was 40 because I knew that was…

Completely agree here. I'm just shy of 90lbs lost thus far and this is how I have done it. First goal was 60lbs because it seemed attainable. 10lbs away from 2nd goal. Started by walking outside with my dog, increasing in distance and pace as I felt able. Bought Leslie's Walk Away the Pounds DVD and loved it. That's a good…

bump interested in this myself. almost at 90 lbs and it will be 2 years in October that i started this journey, so definitely going slow with it, but been overweight my whole life and am hating the loose skin. However, I will NOT have surgery. Too expensive, don't feel the need for anesthesia just to remove some skin and,…

Feel free to add me :) Not very active on the board, but I log every day and can help cheer you on :) YOU CAN DO THIS!

Awesome! I just did W1, D1 today. So hot and humid here in NYC, so I worked out in my basement--just walked and jogged laps back and forth. Did it after I did 4 miles with a Leslie Sansone DVD (with my own added boosts of jogging). Might try doing the next one out in the yard instead :)

I did this a couple of months ago. First couple of days hurt and then your legs get used to it. There were 4 of us doing it and I was the last one standing (or should I say squatting) :) YOU CAN DO IT!!! FYI: As they increase in number, I wound up breaking them up into sets. I usually did sets of 60, but did do sets of 80…

Love my SpiBelt. I forget to take it off sometimes when I get back in the house. When I get changed, I remember it's still there! :P Other thing I do is I keep my driver's license and medical insurance card in my phone case, so even if I'm not using my SpiBelt, I still have ID and insurance card with me (like when I take…

chocolate--must have some daily. I have not deprived myself of anything, really, with the exception of fast food (don't need it) and chips (who can eat just 1). For everything else, it's just been a matter of limiting portions. But chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate I will never say no to :)

I try to plan ahead and pack something. Since I'm going to be in my car, I pack a yogurt, some peanut butter and a bunch of fruit. Saves money, it's healthy and its yummy :)

I did it in April. The first couple of days my thighs hurt, but after that it was a breeze. I broke it up into sets, so the final day of 250 (or 260 since I lost count!) I did a set of 80, then did some weights for my arms, a set of 70, more arm work, a set of 50, more arm work, and the last set of 50. Most I did in one…

I made a recipe I got from Skinnytaste.com: Mediterranean Quinoa Salad Made with quinoa, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, kalamata olives, olive oil, lemon (I used red wine vinegar), salt, pepper, feta cheese (I omitted that). DELISH!

I have about 30 or so to go for my final goal weight. I started with this DVD--1 mile is only 15 minutes. I'm now using another of her DVDs and going 4-5 miles, plus doing abs, arms, chest/back, legs. If I don't her DVDs, I use my treadmill or walk outside. The important thing is to find something you like, that you can…

MFP has your calories set up for you to lose depending on what your settings are. Just eating that alone, you should lose weight. You should also eat back your exercise calories to prevent your body thinking it is going into starvation mode. In that case, your body will hold on to some of the fat. There's an explanation of…

Feel free to friend me :) You can do it!

Thanks :) I've been able to get the BP back to normal with the weight loss and want to get off lipitor at my next visit. Think I will since my non-fasting test was normal. I don't want to be on meds if i don't have to be. I know, for me, I needed to be still be able to have certain things (like my daily chocolate!). I'm…

YOU CAN DO IT GAIL! Keep with the exercise and you'll get to where you WANT to do it. Never thought that would happen for me, but it has. I still have days where I just don't want to do it (mainly because of pain in my heel--plantars fascitis), but I still do or I count it as my day off and get right back on the next day.…

If you're a chocoholic (like me), Turkey Hill Light Recipe Extreme Cookies and Cream. 140 calories for 1/2 cup serving. Yummy and doesn't taste like diet ice cream.

You should be eating what MFP has you set for. You're already at a deficit to lose weight with just those calories. On top of that you should eat your exercise calories. I'm guilty of not eating back all of my exercise calories, but I factor in uneven measuring of foods since I'm eyeballing the measurements. I hit a…

One lo-cal and filling snack I use sometimes is plain old cereal. I like Kashi's Heart to Heart Cereal--kind of their version of cheerios. I get the warm cinnamon one, but the honey toasted is good also. Put about a cup in a ziploc baggie and I bring it to work to nibble on when I get a snacking urge--that's if I used up…
