So I took a 3.2 mile neighborhood walk today. I used the walk activity record and it said I burned 439 calories. I am assuming this includes my BMR? It took me about an hour. My question now is, at 10:50pm last night my calorie burn was 2652. Which means I will burn just over 2700 for the day. This seems rather high. Based…

Thanks for the reply. Regarding your figures, I tried several calculators, including the one you mentioned. I walked for roughly 54 minutes, so that calculator gave me 332 calories on a level grade. I'm going to try not using the mobile run app today and just doing an activity record to see what I get.

Kraft Mac and cheese made with some cream cheese then ketchup mixed in. I also used to make the Mac and cheese normally but mix in ketchup, hotdogs and cottage cheese. Cottage cheese with sriracha and dried minced onions on top. My husband likes his cottage cheese with beet pickles and Graham crackers. I will only eat…

Today was pretty good as well. I plugged in some general numbers just to see about how many calories I've been taking in. I haven't been entering in anything on mfp, just writing it down for now. Looks like I'm averaging 1200-1300 a day. Not too bad. Today's eats B 2 low carb wraps with fajita veggies, laughing cow cheese,…

Rest of my day went well. I liked my breakfast so much that I had it for lunch, haha. My dinner was my broiled fish and cottage cheese. Nice salad with it and some homemade dressing. Feel pretty good. Here's hoping for another great tomorrow.

Oh, let me know how that goes. I love spaghetti squash. I also have one of those inspiralizers, really neat.

So, ill probably be staying on this a bit longer. Wednesday the husband and I had to go downtown into the city *shudders*, I hate the city. Anyway, on our way back, we were getting sick from hunger. Forgot snacks. Oops. So we stopped at an Asian supermarket we love and got fresh goi cuon spring rolls (not really unhealthy,…

Let's see if I can recall yesterday: Breakfast was mentioned above, forgot the almond milk with my coffee Snack was some cucumber and cottage cheese Lunch was some ham slices with sharp cheddar (wanted salad but was rushed for time), grabbed some baby carrots and grape tomatoes (not for phase 1, but whatever, lol). I had…

Quick question for you guys. How important is portion size for things like homemade soup, hotdishes, homemade dressings, etc.? I know there's some general guidelines, but I was just curious.

Still not where I want to be food wise, but taking baby steps. Just found out some really bad news yesterday but there's always a silver lining from a situation, right? I'm trying not to stress about everything and work on what I actually can. Everyone else sure looks like they are making really good choices! It's all mind…

*walks the walk of shame into the room* So...hopefully I'm back. I had to take a break and get things straight in my head. I am so very glad the holidays are over, even though they were pretty good. I was just at a point where I had to step away from things.

Hey guys, I'm still around, just been a hermit. Mental health issues rearing its very ugly side the past few days. Just wanted to let you know I didn't just up and leave.

Nice job on the walking and weights! Food looks tasty. I love pistachios, but have a hard time stopping lol. The ones in the shell do help.
-
Isn't it a great feeling when you get up and have your workout done early? I used to have to leave for work at 5:15 am, so I'd get up at 3:30 am to get a good run in, eat breakfast and shower. By the time I was ready, the husband was just getting up lol. We worked at the same place, same hours.

Another good day down yesterday in the books! B: Sauteed veggies with 2 fried eggs, coffee, almond milk and sf syrup (may want to include a V8 just because I know my veggie intake at breakfast is low). L : Veggie Soup, delicious cheese (seriously, this stuff is amazing. Aged cheddar with herbs...got it at Costco), grape…

Sabine, I have heard of them and when I googled them they looked familiar. Ill have to watch some of the videos. Just got done eating breakfast. Veggies with fried eggs, smoked gouda and some sriracha. Coffee, almond milk, sf syrup. Bringing oldest daughter into Dr, then off to the grocery store for our weekly shopping…

Pretty much stayed on plan today. I was very munchy, but kept it to veggies mainly. S : ended up being some grape tomatoes, laughing cow cheese smeared on turkey slices. L : I added some cream cheese and ham into my soup which turned out mighty tasty. S : Made a concoction of sour cream, sriracha, and a dash of roasted…

Yesterday wasn't too bad, may not have eaten enough. B : ended up being some shroomies, smoked gouda, onion, black olives with 2 fried eggs on top(super runny yolk, I love that). A V8 along with coffee, almond milk and sf syrup. L : ended up skipping because I wasn't hungry when I had to leave to drop off 2 kids at 2…

Yay! Thanks for the welcome! Oh, I guess I should have mentioned, I'm starting in phase 1 with the husband for probably a few weeks since the week of and week after Christmas will be a bit hit and miss with a few family gatherings, staying with the parents up north the week after, etc. We will try our best though and not…

Hi guys, I've been lurking this thread for some ideas and I noticed that it seems to still be active! I've been on south beach before, ended up modifying it later (sometime after I started phase 2) and had tremendous success, losing 60lbs along with becoming an avid runner. Well, my mental health went completely down hill…

Ok, that did not help with your first question at all. I just googled "Keto blogs" and found a wealth of info.

I've recently started. I don't really stress out if my carb counts go over 20 if they are from veggies. It's really hard to eat a decent calorie amount and keep your carb intake below 20. Especially if you're incorporating exercise. The first few days can be kind of rough though. Shameless plug, I did create a group called…

Try making a schedule for yourself that doesn't revolve around food. Make a list Thursday or something of the things you should do, want to do and eventually do. Keep on the schedule and you'll find you are so busy you don't have time to be bored and eat.

Cream cheese sriracha scrambled eggs cooked slow over a low heat (the only way I'll do it, you can't rush these!) on a bed of sauteed bell peppers, canadian bacon, mushrooms, spinach and provolone. Everything was cooked in delicious bacon fat.

That's ok too.
