Stew! Potatoes, yams, celery, carrots, zucchini, green/wax beans, peas, beef/chicken/black beans! Delicious! And it freezes well, so if you make lots you can portion it for meals later on! Same with chilis and spaghetti sauces. I'm pretty boring with my cooking though, not too adventurous in the winter when I just want to…

I'm onto 'My Year of Meats' by Ruth Ozeki; Loving it!
-
Thanks everyone! I just tried 'Rice Dream', and it's great! I really liked it, although I was pretty nervous I'd just wasted some money. Coconut milk and Almond milk are next on my list to try! Thanks again everyone!

Hi! I'm Richelle, and I've just started 'The Weight of Water' by Anita Shreve. So far it's great! I love hearing about new books, and new authors!

I've been working on a meal plan of my own, so thanks for sharing this! Great ideas...I think I might have to get a crockpot!
-
Did you roast your own peppers? Sounds great, I love soups! I've found there are lots of recipes that are better the next day, when all the ingredients have had time to mash

I'm a huge 'binger' also. Especially in the evenings when I'm at home. I found that I can't...absolutely CAN"T have anything in the house I can binge on. I have fruit and veggies always available, but if there's a box of crackers or chips or anything I'll eat it all. I will buy a bit of something, and think it'll last me…

Haha! I love it. As for breakfast: I like berries in yogurt/cottage cheese, or granola in yogurt. I make my own granola, and it's super good for me & delicious!

You can do it! Feel free to add me as a friend for daily support!

Ottawa, Ontario!! Always looking for more friends!!
-
Feel free to add me! I doubt I'm 'local', but I'm doing my best to stay on track with MFP and I'm always looking for more friends to help out/be helped! We can all stick together!
-
I'll do my best to motivate you...I've sent a friend request. I find having 'friends' to support and check up on helps a lot!
-
I do the same thing; get super excited to do well on the 'plan' for the first little while, and then I'll get bored or frustrated and give up. We can do it though! Good luck!
-
Welcome! You can lose it all; there are lots of great people here that will support you!
-
If you can eat at work it'll open up a whole lot of possibilities. I like to get a Tupperware container half full of mixed berries or other fruit, add about 1/2 cup cottage cheese or yogurt. There are lots of recipes and other ideas for 'muffin' breakfasts; someone already suggested the egg muffins. Good luck!

I'm obviously not a man, but I'm also wondering where all the single men in Canada are? I'm in Ottawa!

Hello! I've been watching my weight my whole life, but haven't done much about it until i got too frustrated with it. Then I'd lose a bit, and go back to bad eating & drinking habits. I am about 10 pounds from my goal weight, and my main problem will be maintenance. I love to eat! I love healthy foods, but I'm also a sugar…

Thanks for sharing the recipe; it sounds & looks amazing! I'm making it as soon as I can!
-
I've heard that one is great. I also have the trouble zones video, and like you, I haven't tried it yet!
-
I've only tried one that was a beginners video. I have Ripped in 30, No More Trouble Zones, and a couple others. I don't have a gym membership; the ones near me are expensive and quite often are full of people who are just there to show off.

I love new recipes too! It's so helpful to know if something is worth trying. Feel free to add me if you'd like some friends.
-
I have lots of motivation...for the first few days. Maybe we can help each other?
-
Hi! Your post was refreshing to read; I'm looking for friends also to get support and to give you some too!
-
I also tried WW, and I did have results but find this site much easier to use (and cheaper too!)
-
Hey, welcome and good luck!
-
I love horseradish and hadn't thought of this! Thanks!!
-
Love quinoa, and always looking for new recipes...thanks!

The last time I had a big family gathering over I did chicken breasts in the oven with salsa on them; baked potatoes; a salad with toasted nuts & goat cheese with a homemade vinaigrette dressing, a nice loaf of bread (I didn't eat any of it though) and steamed Asparagus. Loved it! For dessert I did a fruit salad with Greek…

Thanks, some of these recipes look amazing!
