  • My boyfriend has these same issues, he has lifted since he was a teenager (just turned 50 this year). When he was in his 20s he noticed the same issues you were having and went to several doctors who told him nothing was wrong with him because he was so muscular. After 1 or 2 years of searching he finally found a doctor…
  • No gluten or soy allowed for me ... I miss going out to eat and not having to worry or have a long conversation with the waitress who most of the times seems annoyed. I usually just get a salad (no gluten stuff) with vin/oil.
  • Thank you everyone so much - I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner, I didn't think I was getting any responses because my notifications weren't set, I really appreciate all of the feedback. The rash on my back was "most likely" DH, but I was told to go to a gastro to get the blood test to make sure. Not sure why a biopsy…
  • //www.fitbit.com/user/57P7WM Just got a new one for Christmas after by old one took a swim with me in April. Whoops!!!
  • Getting started is the hardest ... that is where I was having trouble. After losing 2 grandparents and just being overwhelmed with life for a couple weeks, I went waaaaay off the rails. I started a biggest loser contest at work which helped me get started. 8 weeks in and close to 15 pounds lost. After the first 5 I was…
  • Are we still finding friends? Shannon from Michigan here ... more friends / more motivation / more support / more fun!!
  • Thank you guys! I went yesterday and did a lower body workout, but somehow always feel like I'm not getting a full workout in if I'm not doing sweaty cardio. Reading your posts were just what I needed to put me in a better frame of mind. Weighing myself Tuesdays and holding myself accountable with recording EVERYTHING I…
  • Same here - asking ... why do I keep doing this to myself. Watching portions and getting AWAY from processed foods (again). Need to go to the gym at least 2 days per week on my lunch hour. Looking for ideas for non-sweaty (not too bad at least) 30 minute workouts I can squeeze in.
  • /\ /\ this
  • Same here - Great job!!!! Remember this if you get discouraged down the road :flowerforyou:
  • Patience and tenacity. Keep logging what you eat (even if it's bad) and how much you exercise. Also, don't weigh yourself more than once or twice a week. Weight fluctuates and it can get frustrating, thinking one day you are up 2 pounds, next day down 3, and so on. And BE KIND to yourself... I think I heard someplace…
  • Congratulations!!! What an accomplishment, you must be so proud ... and for good reason!!! Keep it up - you are an inspiration
  • Ok, why not. How do I join?
  • my gym has a "lunk alarm". Defines lunks as 'gym idiots' (since i can't remember exactly). If anyone drops weights, grunts, etc...this light starts flashing and an alarm sounds. My friend and I were wondering if they ever used it because neither of us had ever seen it go off then the next time I was in I saw it in action.…
  • Hi! I am new too and need all the support I can get, and also glad to give it! When you feel like you are alone, it is so hard, and with no one to talk to it's easy to over-obsess about it and that's never good.
  • Hi! Same here - I am all set and ready to go ... started a Biggest Loser Contest at work, so not only do I need to lose all this horrible weight for myself, but the money at the end of this three months will be nice too!!! Lets friend! :)
