I always have guys take my classes. Some puke, some cry, some swear alot......they keep coming back for more.

Fold the entire thing in half and shove it in? You would burn a few cals just trying to keep it from springing back on you.

Horizontal pole dancing....all the new rage.

As far as I know, there are no right and wrong way to do intervals ~ just as long as your heartrate is fluctuating. The guidelines I follow are: Beginners ~ 1:2 example 30 sec high intensity:1 min rest OR low intensity (depending on fitness level) Intermediate ~ 1:1 example 1 min HI:1 min LI (or rest depending on fitness…

I love yoga! I do it once or twice a week as a compliment to heavy lifting and running. I find I can get a deeper squat and just feel generally "lighter" since practicing yoga.

A pimped out 2009 Dodge dually 1 tonne long box. It's great for running errands involving parallel parking and dropping the kids off at school *insert sarcasm here*. I blew the motor in my Expedition and it won't be fixed until the end of the month. :frown:

Well, I've been taking HCG and eating 500 calories per day since 2009 and managed to bulk up nicely. Oh, and I only ever use the 3 and 5 pound weights ~ never anything bigger.

It's 8 rounds of 20 sec high intensity work/10 sec rest. I use an app on my iPhone called Tabata timer that I loaded for free.

Tabata burpees. Tabata tuck jumps. Tabata jumping jacks. Tabata speed skaters.

Not every time. Maybe once a week. It's usually a long session ~ like 3-6 hours depending on where you're at with distance. Maybe they're slowly building swimming endurance? Or, waiting until they can swim in a lake? I have no other ideas unless they are all stellar endurance swimmers and don't need to train!

It's called brick training and it sounds as though they may be practising their transition.

Nutritional yeast ~ buttery, cheesy and salty ~ with 8g of protein per serving

I can make a pretty amazing meal worth 350cal with all natural ingredients that covers all of my macro and micro needs. :flowerforyou:

Yoga is the only workout I have ever done. Just kidding! I love my yoga. I do it at least once a week and call it my rest day. It's definately not for everyone and, in my opinion, the instructor makes all the difference. It has helped me with my range of motion in most of my lifts and has cut down on my massage therapy and…

Agreed. There's contructive critisism and honest advice and then there's downright rude. I think there are people on every forum who lack a social filter. :flowerforyou:

Be patient. Those last few pounds can be a bugger. Sometimes it can be beneficial (mentally) to have a goal range instead of a single number since our weight can fluctuate day to day. Enjoy your workouts and think about all of the benefits besides weight loss that you're providing for your body and mind.

I take Advil before I go to take the edge off. I gave birth twice au naturel and I would say the pain is up around that level. I guess it depends on your pain tolerance and your desire to have it done ~ once that wax is on there, you're quite committed!

Thanks ladies! I'm 2.5 weeks out and finally starting to feel human. My surgeon is very happy with the procedure and my recovery this far. He told me I should be able to return to previous activities at 6 - 8 weeks ~ counting down the days!

I would also like add, when I'm training a client at the gym, they don't have alot of opportunity to check out the other clients or even chat with me about anything that doesn't have to do with their workout or their nutrition. They are far too pre-occupied with trying not to puke, faint or die

To each their own. Maybe that's their only "outing" for the day and they want to look good. Personally, I brush my teeth and *most* of the time my hair before I go to the gym. That's about it. I guess that why I'm Koolmum and not Hotmum

You could try setting the activity level to sedentary to adjust your calories. Take the time to heal properly ~ back injuries can be a life long problem if not taken care of.

I have a question while we're on the topic of protein.... Does consuming protein post workout help decrease DOMS at all? ETA ~ the search function for DOMS brings up some interesting posts. LOL

Ditto on the Protein shake

Agree. Squats, Lunges, Deadlifts, Calf raises. If you're going to have hot legs, you might as well have the back, shoulders, arms and abs to go along.
