Love these NSVs. I had a bug on Monday. Throwing up all day. Yesterday didn't eat much over my target cals - but still went and completed w4d2 of c25k last night. I felt as week as a kitten about an hour before but I had a banana and a good talk to myself and went late on. Oh and I only nailed that mother kisser. The 2nd 5…

Completed week 3 last night. Then delayed my warm down to see if the 5 minutes in week 4 was doable. Did 6 minutes and only had to stop because the gym was closing in 10 minutes and I needed the warm down and stretch time. The great support and advice on this board is one of the biggest factors in helping me feel like I'm…

Thank you. I'm copying this and putting it in my notes.

Looking forward to taking running gear on holiday! That's just nuts for me.
-
I can only do that lying down, so you are fricken awesome.
-
Well, I've taken the advice and registered for a 5k in November. Can't wait.

did w3d1 yesterday, found the 2nd 3 minute run a bit harder than I thought I would, but I've put that down to not doing any exercises since last thursday. Still managed to do another 30 minutes walking after the program. This seems to be working for me. I increase the incline on the tread to 4 and the speed to between 4.5…

I get this, I remember this quote though "if it's not one thing it's your mother."

Well, thought I would update those of you kind enough to take an interest. Had a great weekend - I didn't log everything, but I stuck to 3 or 4 beers each night - then went on to either vodka and diet coke or Gin and Slimline. had a few but was happily merry rather than plastered. Plus I mixed in water and soft (diet)…

You're very kind - thank you.

This. I used to think I didn't like gardening. It was moving and bending I didn't like.
-
Of course.
-
sorry misread that.

this made me laugh

have you considered duck tape?

*blushes* thank you very much.

for the first time since I can remember my trouser size starts with a 3. At one point (the pic on the right) I was a 54/56. Also - completed week 2 of C25K - after the warm down gulped when I saw the next week was 3 minutes - so I turned on the stopwatch on my phone, covered it and started running. 4 mins later I looked at…

Thanks everyone. This has been a blast. Got some very good ideas and I pinkie swear that on Monday I will be hitting the gym and continuing my C25K and back on the water and green tea. I love this place. I know everyone means well and their hearts are in right place and I really do appreciate it. Xx

Lol. Love it.

Im not an alcoholic. I drink very rarely. I mean I have birthdays, Christmases, weddings, funerals - you know, life events that I want to celebrate and I will do that with or without alcohol. I have spoken to my GP, my Dietician, my diabetes nurse and they all said the same thing. Moderation. Jesus if a night on the lash…

I've been diabetic for 7 years (that I know of). Not always controlled it as I should, but I'm cool with my meds and now my diet. I was hoping for "try creme de menthe and diet dr pepper it's only 11 calories" rather than "DON'T DRINK OR YOU'LL DIE" but your concern is touching and appreciated. I can't not drink for the…

life's too short. I don't log the milk in my coffee, but I don't eat back most of my exercise calories and I am normally within 100 of my total consumed each day. some days I'm over, some days I'm under. I am lighter, exercising, have more energy than I currently know what to do with and happier as a result of all these…

Getting onto the floor and up again is much easier, but you forget and think that it's a pain in the backside when something drops on the floor. I'm not exactly springing around like a gymnast but when things roll under the table it's not a broadway production to get them back.
