What's Your Most Recent NSV

My most recent non scale victory is having people telling me that I am losing weight and my stomach is so flat every day, and that I need to stop lol. They keep telling me that, and I know for a fact that the scale has not budged for awhile. It means that my body is making progress and getting more lean, even when the scale is saying something else .1

Fit into my "before I got fat" suit, went to a function and got the "Double take" from some coworkers1

I fit into a pair of pants I didn't fit in before, and I didn't have to strangle myself to get into them! I also noticed that not only have I lost at least an inch on everything (arms, waist, hips, etc) I also don't have as obvious back rolls. That was one of my big moments, when no matter what shirt I wore, I had what some people would call "back boobs" and they're slowly shrinking away!0

i've noticed more males checking me out1

Oh I didn't see this thread and just made my own but i'll still share!
My most recent NSV! I bought this jacket last fall and was super bummed when I couldn't even zip it up. It tried it back on June 22(top 2 pics) and I could zip it!! But barely. It was quite snug and felt like busting at the seams. I tried it on this morning (bottom 3pics) and was shocked! I actually can move around in it without it being super tight on my belly. I haven't done my measurements lately because I didn't feel like I had changed much. Guess I was wrong! Just gives me more motivation to keep pushing! Day 46 and many more to go.

It didn't even close to fit, and I cried in the dressing room. I bought it anyway because it was on clearance.
Today, it fits. Easily.
This skirt is AMAZING. I would have bought it too!

for the first time since I can remember my trouser size starts with a 3. At one point (the pic on the right) I was a 54/56.
Also - completed week 2 of C25K - after the warm down gulped when I saw the next week was 3 minutes - so I turned on the stopwatch on my phone, covered it and started running. 4 mins later I looked at the phone. woo flipping hoo. get in there. ran for 4 minutes after completing a 30 minute session! 5k here i come (in about 8 weeks after repeating week 5 but who cares. 4 minutes)3 -
I got a light scolding today by the folks who run the gym for leaving my weights on the bar the other day.
1) I didn't actually do it, 2) I LOVE the idea that they thought I did it! A year ago, they would have never assumed it to be me! Big win!2 -
When I was mowing the lawn on the rider this week I was shocked to see when I turned the wheel for corners the muscles in my forearms actually stood out quite a bit! I don't ever remember that happening before.0

HI GUYS! Take a peek at my profile pic! BECAUSE....today........THOSE are my OLD jeans. My regular jeans. My precious lucky brand jeans that I dumped in the closet a year ago because I couldn't bear the sight of them when I gained all the weight. The same pants I still couldn't zip up or button 2 weeks ago. The same jeans I have worn pretty much all of my adult life from 25 to 32ish. I will from this point forward be so happy with my progress each and every single day. Yes, I like the scale dropping. BUT GOSH I LOVE MY OLD CLOTHES (do people still wear bootcut jeans?!?!?! When it hits 100+ degrees? WHO CARES I WILL LOL)
Fitted, sure, but if I can bend in them and sit in them all is well in my world. In another 10 pounds they will fit like regular and perhaps not quite so *ahem* form fitting. But darn it all....HAPPY DANCE THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took 7 months and some change which used to seem like forever, but now seems not that long.
The taste of victory is sweet, my friends!3 -
I am able to keep up with my hubs when walking, I have always been behind him when we walk, now I walk beside him.1

My nsv is that thanks to my change in lifestyle my husband has also lost weight and fits back into his wedding suit. He's recovering from surgery so exercise is an issue for him, so all my hard work has been helping him too.0

1) Well done!
2) Well I hope so - ALL my too small jeans are bootcut and I can't wait to get reacquainted with them!!!

I always see the 50 lbs to loose advert. and thought I'd check it out. I then realized I actually have less than 50 lbs to loose!2

A couple of days ago, I did my longest run so far...I ran 12.7K without stopping! :bigsmile:0

So, it has take me weeks (I'm not kidding) to read this entire thread. It has been so inspiring and motivating! Many of you have been posting on here for a while, and seeing how you've progressed and made multiple non-scale victories has helped me to see them in myself. Thank you, and congrats to all of you! I so wish I could just "Like" all your posts.
I have been losing weight steadily since the start of the year but had to start off with mostly just walking in terms of exercise. Five weeks ago I started the C25K program and strength training at home.
Since it took me so long to reach the end of this thread, I do have a few NSVs:
--Stomach pain went away within weeks of watching my food intake. (I was eating too much!)
--The pain in my knees has disappeared.
--I have more energy. I'm becoming one of those people that can't sit at the desk for long periods of time! I even went for a very short run yesterday just because! Me run just because?! Crazy.
--Kind of related to the previous point - because of the increased energy, time with the husband is even more awesome. I will leave it at that.
--I went from a size 14 (in January) to a size 10 now (US sizes). I'm still trying to wrap my head around this, because for some reason I don't see myself as getting smaller, even though I'm back into my old stuff.
--The little "voice in my head" has become more encouraging. What started out as "You can't do this" over and over again has become "You CAN do this!" over and over again.
--Compliments. I saw family that I hadn't seen in months (and some family I hadn't seen in years!) last weekend, and while I had hoped that they might see a difference, I was stunned at how many compliments I got. I have such an encouraging husband and family, and they were not shy in congratulating me on my progress so far. I was totally grinning from ear to ear most of that weekend.
--I feel good about myself. I actually feel pretty.
--I have said "no" to food, on multiple occasions now. After years of emotional eating, I actually have willpower! I will never forget my husband offering me a spoon with some leftover peanut butter on it, and I just didn't want it. So I said "No thanks." And then I stared at him, and he stared at me, because I never do that.
--I completed C25K Week 5 Day 3 today. I have been dreading this day since I started the program, and I did it! I totally cried.
Sorry for the long post! I had just been collecting them for a while.5 -
Upcoming wedding next weekend and not stressing over having a dress that fits. Rather knowing there are many options in my closet to select from!! Yay!!1

I got back from my lunchtime walk to find a chocolate bar on my desk (from a well-meaning colleague). Instead of eating it I put it in the work fridge, where it will stay until someone else gets the munchies.0

A few non-scale victories for me recently
- I went on a run! I haven't been on a run outside in 3 years because I was embarrassed, and preferred the treadmill in my basement. I even did lunges and "quick jumps" on the curb without flushing from doing them in public!
- One of my exercise tops (size 10 and previously very tight) was loose today during my morning workout.
- I don't need coffee anymore! I'm getting an ok amount of sleep and my morning workout wakes me up! It's a good feeling to not be dependent on caffeine. I still have some later in the day when I have a long day, but morning coffee has been in my life for a looooong time.
So inspiring to read everyone's NSV2 -

My most recent NSV was being able to grab a pair or pants off the rack and just buy them without trying them on. A year ago, that would not have been even a possibility. I used to have to try on everything because I never could tell if it was going to fit or not, tops or bottoms. Now, I don't have to! Also, my husband wants to start going to the gym with me, and my daughter wants to go on run/walks with me. I am getting my whole family moving!

I am close to being able to run 5 miles at once, in an hour! I couldn't run for a minute when I started. I have also lost an inch off my waist, thighs, and hips in the last two months.0

Seems to be a common victory over the past day or so on here...but...I also managed to not only survive C25K week 5/day 3, but I ROCKED it and finished strong! I was so nervous...but once I found my groove it was all good! I wont say it was easy, but I am proud of how well I did!1
